Here's some advice for people who plan to take #IELTS soon. (Actually, it is useful for other English tests, too!)
There are different suggestions for approaching the reading test. One is to read the text first...
...and another is the exact opposite approach!
Do whatever works best for you.
Using synonyms is super helpful for locating answers...
...but don't overlook the importance of grammar!
In the IELTS reading test, the answers will appear in the same order as the questions. (I'm not sure about other reading tests, but I think it is common.)
Sometimes, you will encounter a difficult word, but don't worry. Usually, you can guess its meaning.

The hardest part of IELTS reading is the time limit! It would be easy if you had two hours, but you only have one.
Finally, it's always worth taking a guess, particularly when there are a limited number of options.
