A vile narrative unleashed by Sanghis #BJPAgainstTN:

The ongoing North Indian migrant workers issue is purely concocted by Sanghis,as they are unable to withstand Tamil Nadu's Dravidian Model development under the able leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister @mkstalin. 1/n:

Driven by jealousy & hatred, the Sanghis have begun their "Attack on Migrants" propaganda by spreading fake news against Honb'e Tamil Nadu CM. It is to be noted that many national leaders recently lauded the chief minister's good governance during the #HBDMKStalin70 event.

As always, Sanghis and their rumour mills went into overdrive.
Fake Videos: Multiple unrelated videos shot in Hyderabad, Rajasthan, BJP-ruled Karnataka, and many other places were spread to mislead the public into believing that migrants were threatened in Tamil Nadu. 3/n

North Indian Hindi media houses like @DainikBhaskar, @abplive, @Live Hindustan, and Punjabi Kesari reported this forgery without conducting any verification, which only served to stoke the flames. 4/n

By inciting a rumour-driven panic among North Indians, Hindi Media's negligent reporting further highlighted their nefarious aims to damage Tamil Nadu's reputation. Haters like @annamalai_ and Co provided false statements and videos to promote this fallacy. 5/n

Owing to Holi celebrations, many migrant workers left for their hometowns on vacation. While the dumb Sanghis tried to pass off these videos as an exodus from Tamil Nadu, the North Indian migrant workers have given testimonials to confirm that all is well. 6/n

Sanghis fraudulently publicised the deaths of migrant workers Pawan Yadav and Monu Kumar with the sole goal of igniting unrest in the state. Let's take a closer look at it. 7/n

A migrant worker named Pawan Yadav from Bihar was killed by his colleague Upendra Dari of Jharkhand on February 19. Pawan Kumar's brother testified that no one from Tamil Nadu was involved in this murder. 8/n

The motive behind this murder was an illicit relationship between the deceased Pawan Yadav and the wife of the convict Upendra Dari. Pawan Yadav's brother confirmed that no Tamilians are linked to this issue. 9/n twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

The second incident was the death of Monu Kumar.
Monu Kumar's case first made headlines on February 25th. Monu Kumar had apparently killed himself, according to a later statement from the Krishnagiri Police. Thulasi Kumar, the brother of Monu Kumar, also reaffirmed this. 10/n twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Sanghis have picked up these two incidents, along with the phoney videos shot in other states, to spread misinformation both inside and outside of Tamil Nadu. This has also been endorsed by @BJP4Bihar, one of the BJP's official accounts. 11/n

In the meanwhile, Tamil Nadu police have launched a 24-7 helpline to alleviate panic among migrant workers. Hon'ble Minister of Labour and Welfare of Tamil Nadu, @cvganesan1, has also verified the safety and well-being of migrants. 12/n

After meeting with Tamil Nadu government representatives, Bihar officials issued a statement, warning people not to be misled by bogus videos and reiterating that migrant workers are completely safe in Tamil Nadu. 13/n

Crackdown on Miscreants: The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has issued a stringent warning against fringe elements spreading hatred against Tamil Nadu, Tamilians, and the state government with the vile intention of disturbing the peace and harmony. 14/n

Charges have been brought against rumour mongers @annamalai_k, @BJP4Bihar, and @DainikBhaskar for sowing hatred and triggering statewide panic among migrant workers by circulating fake news. Any second now, they might be taken into custody. 15/n

It is our first & greatest responsibility as Tamils to refute these baseless claims foisted on Tamil Nadu & our state government. We all have a binding responsibility to protect our state's welfare and reputation. Therefore, let's spread the truth as widely as we can.Thank you.16/n
