And there’s a Rosary you can pray on the blog, too.

And now a time of reflection in preparation for praying the Rosary.

In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

St. John Ogilvie, St. Marie-Eugenie de Jesus, Pope St. Simplicius, pray for us!

We must endure many trials before entering God’s kingdom.

Acts 14:21

I love the Lord for he has heard
the cry of my appeal;
for he turned his ear to me
in the day when I called him.They surrounded me, the snares of death,
w the anguish of the tomb;
they caught me, sorrow and distress.
I called on the Lord’s name.O Lord, my God, deliver me!

How gracious is the Lord, and just;
our God has compassion.
The Lord protects the simple hearts;
I was helpless so he saved me.
Turn back, my soul, to your rest
for the Lord has been good;
he has kept my soul from death,
my eyes from tears
and my feet from stumbling.

I will walk in the presence of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Psalm 116:1-9

Psalm 51, a prayer of repentance

God of power & mercy, thru Your Son’s passion & resurrection You have freed us from the bonds of death & the anguish of separation from You. Be ever with us on our pilgrimage; then we shall sing rather than weep.

Psalm prayer

Keep our feet from stumbling, so that we may be able to follow You until we come to eternal rest.
Ant. Lord, keep my soul from death, never let me stumble.

Some intentions follow. Feel free to add your own to the thread, too.

Please pray for priests, bishops, Pope Francis, & those in lands where persecution is intense, especially for @CardJosephZen.

Please pray for the souls of Pope Benedict XVI & George Cardinal Pell. May they rest in peace.

- For victims of anti-Christian violence which has passed the “threshold of genocide” in some countries.

- For priests and bishops in danger in Nigeria, China, and around the world.

- For all those suffering from SSA and those affected by the gender agenda & the whole culture of death.

- For all friends of the #RosaryProject & all the prayer requests we saw this week. Lord, you know who they are. We pray for all of them, everyone in need, everyone suffering. You know what they need, Divine Physician. In Your mercy, bring them healing.

Lord, help us to grow closer to You in this season of Lent. May we remember our brothers and sisters in need, remembering them in our prayers and in our practice of fasting, charity and almsgiving.

In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

St. John Ogilvie, St. Marie-Eugenie de Jesus, Pope St. Simplicius, pray for us!

The Rosary proper begins at the top of the hour. I hope you’ll join me. Add your intentions, too, if you are moved to do so. God bless you!

In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

St. John Ogilvie, St. Marie-Eugenie de Jesus, Pope St. Simplicius, pray for us!

Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, you have deigned to come to Fatima to reveal to the three shepherd children there the treasures of grace hidden…

(There’s a place in this prayer for your personal prayer intention.)

(For those who don’t believe, we pray…)

I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord…

For the Holy Father

Our Father Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us…

For an increase of Faith, Hope, & Charity in our souls & our world

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
& blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us now
& at the hour of our death.

(Glory be, here and at the end of each decade.)

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

The USCCB has asked us to fast and pray with special intentions for the Rosary. (Originally for May 13th, but I’m keeping it in our Rosary & the one on my blog, too).
