Watched #Pathaan over the weekend on Prime and I want a refund!

Was this the same movie that broke the box office or did they release a totally different movie on streaming?

For all the calls of boycott & the folks thronging to the cinemas, what just happened?

🧵⬇️

We've seen this with Padmavat & now #Pathaan, that whenever the right wing outrages & calls blasphemy to the moral fiber of the country, the movie does well.

Oddly enough the female protagonist in both was the same!

I want to meet atleast one person that was calling the movie anti-Indian coz this movie is like a love story to Bharat Maa.

Let's put it this way, there are more references to 'Bharat Maa', in the movie than the last 5 speeches on Aug 15 at the Red Fort.

I'm surprised the muslim community is not pissed of with the portrayal of a bikini-clad alcohol loving muslim woman.

Kudos to them, I'd say. Guess it's offset by the SRK!

The right wing should be proud of the fact that the power of saffron can turn an ISI spy.

Besharam Rang is the single greatest ode to the saffron since rawa kesari.

That saffron sarong when wrapped around can cure a bullet wound! What more can you ask?

The action scenes are all borrowed from movies you've seen before. But when you make #Saaho look good, that's pretty depressing.

The CGI from the top production house with the biggest star is a huge letdown.

But they are the funniest & outright comical portions of the movie

Now I'm not expecting much from the YRF spy universe.

I'm no fan of the Tiger franchise but I liked War & from the same team, I was definitely hoping too have a fun time.

Oh, how wrong was I!

My problem with Pathaan is that its not exciting, fun or even remotely engaging to watch.

It's just simply boring, every bit of it.

Watching Bhai & SRK hopping like bunnies on a running train was hilarious and sad at the same time

John Abraham is more wooden than a neem tree, but that's a joke I made when I saw Dhoom & blogs were a thing.

For YRF however nothing has changed since, so guess what? Slo-mo shots of a tree riding a bike down the Swiss alps

The best part of the movie is in the post credits and if you are lucky to be alive after the monstrosity that is the title song.

Bhai & SRK sitting near a broken bridge reminiscing how they've been doing this for 30yrs and how no one is even close to take their spot

That broken bridge represents Bollywood and we the audience are on the other side with no hope anything enjoyable coming our way.

SO we'll continue to throw our money at the screen, thinking of the good old days when we couldn't waif for Friday First Show!

That's a wrap!
