India - however continues to administer the whole cell pertussis component as part of it's DPT & pentavalent jabs, despite it's discontinuation in "first world" countries decades ago.

Despite it's known risks that led to it's discontinuation in many countries, wholecell pertussis is a component of the 5 in 1 pentavalent vaccines, mortality from which, was found to be likely much higher than the DPT vaccines per one study.

Besides the whole-cell pertussis component, another ingredient of the DPT vaccines, that was discontinued in pediatric vaccines in places like US & Canada, is 'Thiomersal', or ethylmercury, a known neurotoxin
