nai and vash pushing their single beds together to make one bigger bed they can cuddle on. their adopted mother doesn’t really say anything

about it, she’s just happy the pair are getting along. especially since some of the other moms in her ‘mom support group’ have been having issues with their teens suddenly hating each other.

but rem is just happy to never have that problem, so she says nothing when she notices

the bed.

she tries to give them more privacy, since they’re both going through body changes and she remembers how hard it was to be that age and have parents constantly hovering over her shoulder.

besides, they were such good boys. never gave her an ounce of /real/ problems.

and eventually, vash snuggles into nai in his sleep. nai puts an arm around vash, pulling him even closer. the scent of vash’s shampoo tickles his nose, and vash buries himself deeper into nai’s side.

this becomes their usual for a while, until vash starts moving in different ways in his sleep.

his one leg is slung over nai’s hip, and he’s practically dry humping his brother, whimpering into nai’s underarm.

nai doesn’t wake him, and certainly doesn’t stop him. he allows it to happen, although he’s wide awake.

he allows it to continue happening, it becomes more frequent and more frequent. until he feels a wet, slimy little stripe up his underarm.

and vash groggily whisper out, “nai?”

and he swallows down his nerves, because he cannot act like this isn’t okay. he can’t upset his brother, he’d only run from him. probably ask to move to the basement or something, even though vash relished in the sunlight.

besides, it’s not like it /wasn’t/ okay. nai’s been waiting for an opportunity to keep his brother all to himself. so now he’d just have to make up some bullshit about how they were just primally recognizing each other as mates because of their pheromones or something.

completely natural, completely normal… right?

and so what if the rest of the conversation is spent trying to manipulate vash into letting nai finally fuck him?

so what if nai’s gotten really good at lying the past few years (re: teenager) and convinces vash that twins are allowed to have sex with each other because they can’t get pregnant from it?

and so fucking what if three months later vash finally starts showing and refuses to get rid of it, much to rem’s disdain, because nai drilled into his head that god blessed them with a child when it was impossible, and that it would be a sin to refuse god’s gift?
