A Comprehensive Look Into The Sins of the @RedCross - Humanitarian Relief Efforts or Human Right Violations and Money Laundering?

1/ @RedCross raised almost half a billion dollars in the wake of Haiti's 2010 earthquake. It was one of its most successful fundraising efforts ever.

The Red Cross says it has provided homes to more than 130k people, but the number of permanent homes the charity has built is 6.

2/ Red Cross' claim on its website and press releases: All the money went to help 4.5 million Haitians get "back on their feet."

5 million was 100% of the urban area in 2010. That would mean the American Red Cross would have served entire cities of Haiti.

This was not the case.

3/ The Red Cross’ initial plan said the focus would be building homes — an internal proposal put the number at 700. Each would have finished floors, toilets, showers, and rainwater collection systems. The houses were supposed to be finished in January 2013.

This was not the case

4/ According to Carline Noailles, the project’s manager in Washington, stated the project was endlessly delayed because the Red Cross “didn’t have the know-how.”

Why raise almost $500 million dollars if no one knows how to solve any of the problems in Haiti?

5/ The American Red Cross spent a quarter of the money people donated after the 2010 Haiti earthquake — or almost $125 million — on its own internal expenses, far more than the charity previously had disclosed, according to Sen. Chuck Grassley.

6/ Grassley sent a letter to the Government Accountability Office that the Senate Judiciary Committee "has received additional information that Red Cross personnel didn't provide access to the GAO even after multiple requests for relevant information.

7/ In fact, @RedCross continued to stonewall congressional hearings and misled the American people. Senator Grassley and Representative Bernie Thompson introduced The Red Cross Transparency Act, which gave the GAO complete access to the Red Cross.

8/ The Red Cross also has a deep history involving violating Human Rights in the name of Humanitarian Efforts.

ICRC Staffers didn't know the procedures and allowed Sex Offenders to play in children's areas, as well as unrelated adults were allowed to shower with children.

9/ The International Committee of the Red Cross said 21 staff members have been dismissed or resigned for “paying for sexual services” since 2015.

10/ @RedCross confirmed the Sexual Misconduct and issued a statement to the public.

11/ If @RedCross isn't providing humanitarian relief to a devastated area with their massive budget, what business are they really involved in?

12/ @intheMatrixxx did a thread on The Red Cross in 2018 that I strongly encourage you to read.

13/ @RedCross claims to have no part in this money laundering scheme, but why do the containers have the ICRC logo plastered on all the crates filled with cash?
