Based on the replies to this tweet, I've compiled a nice 32 bracket single elimination bracket of all the shit we've been served since the purchase of Twitter. Each day I'll make a new poll with citations and let the public decide. The seeding was random, the results? Who knows!?

Round 1: Newsletter length tweets for weirdos who feel they need to write a manifesto in one tweet instead of a thread vs the entirety of the Twitter Files and how much of a dud it was.

Newsletter: theverge.com/2023/4/14/2368…

Twitter Files:

Yes I said bracket a bunch, but I'll never pay for blue to edit it. That way you know I'm for real.

Going to do that real cool thing of just promoting the junk I do and then going back to the real world, but I have a Let's Play channel that was described as "better than how small of an audience we have"

Even if you don't watch anything, subs are king

Round 2: Eli Lilly impersonated caused a massive downturn on their stock prices and while good for the people, in the grand scheme it's dangerous VS the Elonjet banning because "Assassination Coordinates"

Eli Lilly: forbes.com/sites/brucelee…

Elonjet: variety.com/2022/digital/n…

I do realize that there are some mismatched fist fights here occasionally, but I am burdened by the RNG seeding.

Round 3: Firing a disabled employee then realizing it would trigger a $100,000,000 payout VS people that pay for blue priority in replies meaning every popular tweet is an alt-right echo chamber

Disabled Firing: benzinga.com/news/23/03/312…

Alt Right Echo Chamber: Any popular tweet

Round 4: "There is no emerald mine," said Elon. "Lol, Lmao," said his father holding a map of Zambia VS Germany tackling hatespeech with fines to the sum of $33 Billion
#VoxPopuli

Elon's Emerald Mine Riches: deccanherald.com/international/…

German Lawsuit: cnbctv18.com/technology/twi…

Round 5: "Let that sink in" VS Titter LMAO GOTTEM HILARIOUS. It's the battle of a 12 year old boy stuck in a 51 Year-Old billionaire's body who absolutely CANNOT post. #clusterfuckoff

Letting stink in: aa.com.tr/en/americas/el…

Titter, because booba: fortune.com/2023/04/11/elo…

Round 6: Blue Ticks for 1Mil+ followed accounts looking like endorsement for Twitter as a product (FTC violation) VS Chapelle live show meltdown where he got booed but totally didn't guys he swears.

Tick Return: salon.com/2023/04/24/pag…

Chapelle Show: them.us/story/elon-mus…

My play has been to put up the next poll after about 300 or so votes when I notice and I'm not busy. The quicker the votes come in, the quicker the polls will be put up. But they did put the Street Fighter 6 demo on PC so....

Round 7: Firing the PR team leading to an automated response of poop. Cool. npr.org/2023/03/20/116…

VS

Arguing with Stephen King from $20 to $8 to paying $8 for celebrities like a weirdo... theguardian.com/technology/202…

#clusterfuckoff

Round 8: The public API going to $42k/mnth killing off many useful accounts like weather warnings and the like wired.co.uk/article/twitte…

VS

Elon being nothing but a reply guy to alt right accounts, bolstering racist and transphobic viewpoints lemonde.fr/en/pixels/arti…

This concludes the western wing of the bracket and I am going to bed. Thanks to @bestofdyingtwit for the help to get it out there, vote your hearts out for tomorrow we start the eastern conference. As well, thanks to everyone that saw this passing by and gave me the time of day<3

I'm just a really bored terminally online individual that likes to create content to entertain, and after this concludes I hope folks feel like sticking around, watching some of my junk, supporting the homies etc etc.

Good morning from Eastern Canada. It's Round 9 Time:
Musk promises not to fire more people, proceeds to fire almost all of the people finance.yahoo.com/news/twitter-f…

VS

Labelling different journalist groups as Government Funded causing many to leave the platform npr.org/2023/04/12/116…

And yes, I am aware that the tags were dropped a few days ago, but the idea that a man so invested in destroying any journalistic integrity in the first place is incredibly dangerous (not to sway votes though, a lot of people lost their jobs on his arrival to twitter, also bad)

Round 10: Although we mentioned @iamharaldur earlier, Musk being in his replies to get on his good side for a while was pathetic (Source any Halli tweet in March)

VS

Anyone need a plant? How about this side table? Please buy the stuff around Twitter HQ businessinsider.com/elon-musk-twit…

Round 11: Asking coders to "print out their code weekly" which is just so painfully idiotic livemint.com/technology/tec…

VS

Losing the metric war during the Superbowl to the President, so he forced the algorithm to favour him going forward huffpost.com/entry/elon-mus…

#clusterfuckoff

Round 12: The finding of his creepy as all hell Age Play style account that might just be pretending to be his own child? futurism.com/the-byte/elon-…

VS

Twitter HQ getting beds prompting an investigation due to building codes globalnews.ca/news/9334804/t…

Round 13: Banned Alt-right accounts being pulled back onto the platform! Hooray! That's helpful for society! forbes.com/sites/robertha…

VS

Paul Pelosi gets attacked, and Musk circulates it was a male prostitute amongst other baseless points. Insane. rollingstone.com/politics/polit…

Round 14: Musk's removal of the entire safety team ramping up racist and anti-trans rhetoric npr.org/2022/12/12/114…

VS

The cringe that is him replying to his own quotes constantly. Just.. always.. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Round 15: Absolutely no Mastodon, Substack, accounts that post links, you know what no links at all this is not social media anymore erikhoel.substack.com/p/elon-musks-s…

VS

Oh no, a journalist came back and criticized me in an open forum, time to turn off Spaces livemint.com/news/elon-musk…

Round 16: Twitter poll to step down absolutely ignored, hilarious. Sad. Pathetic. #VoxPopuli nbcnews.com/tech/social-me…

VS

Twitter owned by X, and considering the rest of his businesses, we have absolutely 0 public trust in this, and could be concerning. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

This concludes the Eastern Conference of the brackets and tomorrow we start getting into the weeds. It's going to be absolutely dumb.

Thank you to everyone who joined me so far, it's been a hoot <3
