THREAD: A lot of writing and data is coalescing around the realization that something profoundly shifted in the West after 2010, and especially in the magic year of 2014 and onward. So let's capture as many pieces of evidence as we can under one umbrella:

First let's note the seeds for Western decline and sociopsychological collapse were already sown, pick your bad strain that flowered rotten fruit: Hart-Celler Act (1965), 19A, China & WTO in 2001, even something as innocent as Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) for DoD bases.

Quick aside on BRAC. California, which in the early 90s was a bastion of aesthetic conservative Americana, was targeted particularly hard with the most bases closed across the State. Revenge for Reagan/Nixon voter base? Compare CA then to the wasteland it is today.

Extrapolating that the time bomb generation born to fail were therefore millennials, we then see them armed with a potent device for spreading hysteria, lowest common denominator longhouse loser mentality, and groupthink: the smartphone, which came to mass prevalence in the 10s

Firstly, Occupy Wall Street. 2011 is a bit early, but a genuine organic left-wing populist movement almost paralyzed major financial nexuses across the West and the Obama administration, their deep-pocketed donors, and corporate allies would ensure this could never happen again

The shift in coverage away from OWS and onto hard to quantify but morally saccharine topics like equity, racism, police brutality, and gender has been covered extensively by the likes of Tucker Carlson and others so we will move on to other signifiers.

One of the largest bellwethers in 2014 was GamerGate. The gaming space, previously a bastion of the young cis male, had been slowly invaded by legions of unqualified, compromised "journalists" (cf. moral censors) and many realized too little too late.

Similar to how the Regime dismantled organic protests after OWS, I think GamerGate was where Reddit was "dismantled" as an online agora and became a hardcore leftist, astroturfing neoliberal propaganda outlet (oldheads remember its early libertarian days)

A couple geopolitical things happened:
- Russia yeeted on the braindead Victoria Nuland Dept. of State type wonks and seized Crimea
- Hong Kong protests started and failed
- Rise of ISIS and symbolic identification as the white interloper as sacrificial cattle for butchering

This one is harder to define and more my theory but we saw the end of the great, non-diversity quota mandated Western epics such as TDK series (2012). Nolan's 2014 Interstellar shifted its focus to the nebula and forgot the Western man in society. Since then we Marvelized.

And finally, most tellingly, the canary in the coal mine, the OG NEET, CWC, came out as a "lesbian identified male" in 2014.
I think this topic merits an article in and of itself but in many ways his struggles are THE cosmic opera of the Anglo-Saxon native male going to seed.
