I understand that some women do not experience severe pain during an OPH, however this is not a good enough reason to disregard the experiences of those women who suffer unacceptable, and unnecessary, levels of pain.

The following excerpts are from an independent voluntary survey completed by some of the women who have undergone an OPH at an UHB hospital.

Severe pain and distress have been noted by many women. This matter needs urgent attention to prevent further harm and trauma to women who need to have this important investigative procedure.
