Heard a lot of people say that in the khutbas at mosques, girl education is shunned, discouraged & is deemed unIslamic (whereas learning is FARZ on everyone regardless of gender).
So, a lot of people are guessing this could be his way of ‘playing his part’.
Let’s not assume he was mentally ill.
It could be a cover up for the failure of the state.
& mental illness doesn’t necessarily work like that.
Assuming this promotes taboo surrounding mental health & illness.
