🧵This is Pekka Kallioniemi, the Finn behind the #vatniksoup series, something in between the Myrotvorets and english tabloids.
Pekka is a postdoctorate fellow at Tampere University, Finland whose specialty includes ... social media, propaganda and disinformation (sic)

Pekka has created +/- 200 🧵 on people he associates with Russia who are
- professional journalists guilty of providing balance on the conflict
- "pro-Russian" accounts whose only sin is to be tired of the Russophobia/ Western hegemony
- Peace activists (stop the bloodshed)

His "entries" aren't without flaws and errors but they're not supposed to be accurate. They espoused the tabloid format aimed at triggering reactions or upsetting the subject. To this effect, he doesn't hide his chauvinism and bigotry, smearing his subjects.

None of his subjects have committed a crime but the one of not supporting western hegemony.
But how did a university postdoctorate fellow got there?
It might be to hype up his credentials (who knows the CIA is watching), make a few bucks, test his hypothesis as a dsnfo expert.

Pekka started writing or contributing to or spell check research papers in 2012. Since then, his name has been associated to 22 papers according to research gate, 20 of them being conference papers, which do not need to be peer-reviewed.

That's two papers a year. Sloppy and lazy?
That's what his linked-in page would point to.
A researcher is a professional, and TBH, 10+ years in the field of social media, propaganda and disinformation, 101 connections is subpar, almost disappointing TBH.

But it may be juicy to have a position as a research doctor at a university ranked #400.
Pekka, grow some, get laid, have a life.
