This evening, the neo-Nazis of the "Goyim Defense League" (GDL) held Nazi flags and sieg heiled outside a synagogue in East Cobb (metro Atlanta) in an attempt to intimidate the community. The GDL is a decentralized neo-Nazi group whose main figure is livestreamer and Nazi
provocateur Jon Eugene Minadeo II of Florida (by way of California). The GDL has active adherents around the US.
The GDL has been on trip across Georgia, with neo-Nazis from both Florida and Georgia distributing GDL propaganda. Minadeo was arrested yesterday in Bibb County but was soon released on bail:
GDL appearances outside of places like synagogues are provocations used to collect donations via livestreams. Few (if any) of these people are local to Cobb. Michael Weaver is a longtime neo-Nazi in

When faced with the spectacle of neo-Nazis, it is important to remember a few things: (1) These are fringe individuals who are unpopular, but it is a problem when they feel emboldened enough to attempt intimidation.
(2) The law and government will not and cannot stop them. (See for example cops standing around tonight. Even yesterday when there was a token arrest, the Nazis quickly went back to their harassment campaign.)
(3) Community self-defense is how we can protect each other. These Nazis all have names, addresses, family members, and sometimes jobs. There are ways to increase the social consequences for anyone doing neo-Nazi activism.
