I’ve been asked a lot:
“CC2, why interact with Linea? $LINEA won't be used as gas token!”

The reason is simple:
Neither does $ARB or $OP – yet they blessed us with governance rights. 🪂

Reason #2 why we interact w/ Linea:

It increases our wallet's digital footprint!

The more different tasks/chains, the better.

Imagine you're zkSync/LayerZero and in the process of filtering wallets...

And it ONLY interacted w/ $ZKS or $ZRO – suspicious, don't you think?

I could name plenty more reasons [ie $727M in funding is absurd], but promised to keep this intro short.

Let's begin with what you're anticipating the most:

One of the only LayerZero x Linea interactions that currently exist! It also involves Mantle.

5) Bridge Base -> Mantle

You should also bridge an ONFT INTO Linea, but there's plenty of time -> do it another day.

I leave some ETH in Linea to interact again in 1-2 weeks. Plus, not bridging out the same $ we bridged in = organic.

Reasons why I kept it short:
• Mainnet is 2 days old; not much to do
• There's PLENTY of time. If they rerun the L2 playbook [ARB, OP] -> +1 year before $LINEA 🪂

Few reasons why
• Shipping the fastest
• Already known on other chains
