We are in a spiritual war. It is not going to be fought & won primarily in the fields of politics, education or medicine, though those battles will take place & are important. But the war is above all a spiritual one & we must never forget that. Be not afraid!

Now a time of reflection before praying the Rosary.

and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

From the Catechetical Instructions by Saint Jean-Marie Vianney
Lord Jesus, healer of soul and body, you said: Blessed are the merciful, they will obtain mercy. Teach us to come to the aid of the needy in a spirit of brotherly love, that we in turn may be received & strengthened by you.
Lord, lay your healing hand upon me, for I have sinned.
God is for us a refuge and strength,
a helper close at hand, in time of distress,
so we shall not fear though the earth should rock,
though the mountains fall into the depths of the sea;
even though its waters rage and foam,
even though the mountains be shaken by its waves.
All-powerful Father, the refuge and strength of your people, you protect in adversity and defend in prosperity those who put their trust in you. May they persevere in seeking your will and find their way to you through obedience.
The Magnificat
The Blessed Virgin Mary’s Canticle, Luke, 1:46-55.
This is a faithful and wise steward: the Lord entrusted the care of his household to him, so that he might give them their portion of food at the proper season.—Antiphon
Some intentions
- For the conversion of sinners and the salvation of souls.
- For the reparation for sins, especially our own.
- For the reunion of all Christians.
- For our Holy Mother, the Church.
- For priests and bishops, that they be good shepherds always.
- For the repentance and conversion of those affected by Freemasonry, the allure of the occult, wicca, witchcraft, the “New Age” and other things of demonic influence, & the entire culture of death.
- For the end of the culture of death, all of it, every single bit.
- For Christians persecuted horribly around the world, especially in China, Nigeria, and Sudan.

- For the safe return of my beloved Major Tom cat, missing since May 11th. (And for Miss Lucy Dawg and Miss Kitty—not missing, thank goodness.)
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
