I just worked with a creator who made $126,000 in 4 days.
810 sale.
2 months of planning.
First time building a course.
(He's only been on Twitter for 4 months)
Here are the 6 simple steps we took to do a 6-figure launch:
1. Manage expectations
Launching a course is not the end goal.
It's the first step of building a business.
1. It goes well. You have a base for growth
2. It doesn't go well, you know what to improve.
When you worry, you get nothing done.
Always see the glass half full.
2. One problem. One solution
While I was listening to Ole's story.
This guy's ambition blew me away.
Ole nailed 1 specific problem for 1 specific audience.
Answer these questions:
Who do you serve?
Which is the one problem you solve?
Simplicity will give you great results.
3. The two-part validation process.
1. A survey
2. Interviews.
“How many people should I ask?”
My answer: “A lot”
Most ideas that you might have are wrong.
Ask your audience to be clear on what they want to receive.
4. The questions.
* What's your biggest problem?
* Have you looked for a solution?
* Would you buy my course when I release it?
* How much would you pay for it?
Ask and you shall receive.
5. Refine your avatar.
@oledoteth saw a trend emerging.
The initial thought was to focus on business owners.
The data showed us something else.
But we pivoted and focused on solopreneurs.
Always follow the signal.
Ask your audience what they want and give it to them.
6. Turn answers into modules.
Now comes the beautiful part.
Your audience builds your course for you.
Use the answers to the question:
What is your biggest problem?
And turn them into your modules.
7. Sell before you make.
Always sell the outline (beta test) first.
* Find 5 people in your audience.
* Sell your beta course with a huge discount.
You need to test your ideas.
Paid clients give you the best data.
8. The power of a waiting list.
I stood in line to get my hands on the latest PlayStation.
Yes, I love COD.
Your job as a course creator is to build up hype.
So plug your waiting list under every tweet.
Hypefury is doing that job for you.
9. You need a newsletter.
X is not a place to sell.
It’s a place to make noise.
Your newsletter is the place to make sales.
Create a home for your audience.
Build relationships until they’re ready to buy.
How? Tell stories.
All your focus should be on your newsletter.
10. Borrowed audiences.
Build relationships with big newsletter owners.
Ask them this:
Do you like to make money with two clicks?
* Send my offer to your list
* Check your commission on your affiliate dashboard.
They earn a 50% commission.
Don’t you love a win-win?
11 The landing page.
Your landing page should tell a story.
Share how you take your client on a journey.
Sales are all about helping people from where they are to where they want to be.
When you can show them how to get what they want.
They will buy.
The results were $126k in sales.
Sleepless nights, setbacks, and hundreds of messages.
But @oledoteth did it. No words can describe how proud I am.
Now it's your turn to do the same.
With these steps, you have a great chance to do the same.
The Anatomy of a $126k Launch:
* Prepare.
* Solve one problem.
* Know who you serve.
* Validate your offer.
* Email is the soul of your launch.
* Get affiliate partners.
* Borrow audiences.
Launching a course is all about doing instead of thinking.
