L. Ron Hubbard & Louis Jolyon “Jolly” West:
The Art of Psychological-Provocateur-Warfare 🧵 #?
Latter-Day-Scientology: Who & Where is Heber Jentzsch?
Some of you may not know - between Hubbard & Miscavige, there was Jentzsch, a polygamist Mormon from Utah. Let’s go. ➡️
Heber hasn’t been seen since ‘04. As with Hubbard, the Church refuses to make a statement & former members have given conflicting statements over the years, including his family members.
I probably won’t get this all in 1 thread as there’s many tentacles, to no one’s surprise.
How’s this relate to Jolyon?
1992: Heber describes CBR warfare in his home state during his youth, expressing concern on behalf of Utahns & The Church of Scientology, who’d been “exposing these atrocities for some years now” in a letter to Deseret News.
https://t.co/6PdAUcMe4Qdeseret.com/1992/1/12/1896…
Salt Lake Tribune (10/09/1993): Jolyon West brings "43-Year Crusade to Utah - Ridding The World of Cults", with West noting that the "LDS is not on his list of cults". Scientology, of whom "Mr. West is its most outspoken critic", is.
July 31st, 1960: Heber, the "Singing Soldier" is reported as an Army private stationed in Maryland, and a "folk singer & entertainer" in the Second Army Band at Ft. Meade".
About that polygamy...
01/25/56: "Many of the men who will be put in prison fought in the wars to preserve the very freedom that shall be taken from them. If polygamy is the wave used to carry someone to the heights of political or social recognition..." to UT AG Callister.
09/15/1963: Heber is pictured with The Cherry Creek singers for the upcoming Campus Hootenanny.
Sidenote: A hootennany sounds fun!
09/13/1968:
Heber & The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band perform. The film "Paint Your Wagon" lists Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood & Jean Seberg, who collaborated on both the film & music, released the following year.
https://t.co/iBeMOy4oYien.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paint_You…
07/07/1970: It would appear the reason Heber departed from the band was due to Scientology. He is said to "demonstrate the technology in song".
Anyone who knows about Dianetics, knows its not only costly, but very time-consuming. I find this short time frame very odd.
02/18/1971: Kenmore Church of Scientology sponsors a "Celebrity Center", to "revitalize the arts & create a higher civilization". Yvonne Gillham, Heber's soon-to-be-wife, is listed as director of the LA Celebrity Center.
2017: Hubbard's 'Commodore Messenger' & Yvonne's daughter, Janis Grady, notes Yvonne founded the LA Celebrity Center. She details the torture both her mother & birth father went through & the forced disconnection from Peter, deemed a 'suppressive person'.

I'm not going to dive into Yvonne yet, but I will note, she is not listed in relation to Heber often (if at all) in American interviews w/former members, including his last wife, Karen De La Carriere.
Below lists Yvonne Gillham-Jentzsch as narrator of The Golden Dawn (1972).
Yvonne & Heber were married on May 28th, 1972 at The Celebrity Center. The announcement notes its a marriage of "two top executives" of the church.
February 9th, 1973: the grand opening of the San Diego branch of the church. Yvonne accepts the 'special gold key' on behalf of L. Ron Hubbard, w/Yvonne as Commanding Officer of the Celebrity Centre.
1973 is the year Operation Snow White began. Quite frankly, there's plenty of stuff out there written about it so I'm not going to get into it here. Heber is dressed as Paul Revere, yelling 'Audit the IRS!' and passing out copies of the church's national journal, Freedom.
January 14th, 1975: Just to provide context of what was making headlines, Heber is still in full costume passing out copies of Freedom.
In 1975, it is announced that the Celebrity Center will be moving to Hollywood that November.
1976: Heber is listed as spokesman for CCHR, one of the non-profits used by the church for lobbying & legislation. The "close call" credited to CCHR was a 'lacking provision' for commitment of a defendant to a mental hospital prior to trial with codified re-evaluation.
A letter from Yvonne at the Flag Land Base (Clearwater, FL) only weeks later. Again, not focusing on her in depth yet but, this letter notes there's suspicion her mail has been intercepted.
Second page of the letter with Yvonne's signature. She states Heber was present for a "talk about his investigation" and 300 people were present.
If Yvonne's mail was being intercepted, the dates could be chalked up to delays. A week prior, Heber was on TV representing the Scientology 'Shock Therapy' Task Force w/a Long Beach MD.
10/1976: Heber (on behalf of CCHR) at a hearing regarding allegations of a hospital covering up abuse for 3 years. The Ventura County DA opens a probe into Camarillo State Hospital over allegations of more than 100 negligent deaths. The DA stated 79 were being "looked at hard".
07/10/1977: Feds enter the chat.
Jolyon's current PR campaign includes discussion of Operation Snow White, so let's move on.
07/09/1977: Yvonne, detailing working in Mexico - she states she predicts it will be Hubbard's first "clear" country. She notes the Mexican government paid for 45 officials to receive training.
September 25th, 1977:
The Grand Opening of the LA church, with Yvonne Jentzsch listed on stage helping cut the ribbon.
October 1977: Per Yvonne’s daughter, she had a stroke while on tour in Mexico. “Whoever was with her just put her on a flight back to LA because I found out later when she was picked up from the airport, she was slurring her words.”
https://t.co/xEdD6UAmghdailymail.co.uk/news/article-4…
January 23rd, 1978: Yvonne passes away in Clearwater, FL.
September 8th, 1978: Heber & Karen De La Carriere (still living) apply for a marriage license. This is the only mention of Karen I can locate in newspaper archives up to this point in relation to Heber.
04/15/80: A defector states Hubbard retired in 1968 & runs the church from a 'spa', Gilman Hot Springs. Jentzsch states he doesn't know where Hubbard is.
The article notes this is the first public indication of the church's HQ moving from Clearwater to San Jacinto Valley.
05/30/1980:
Operation Snapper is exposed. Again, there's much documentation regarding Scientology & its (now widely understood) incestuous relationship with the government.
11/27/1980: Worldwide Church of God (yes, the pedophile cult), Synanon, Scientology & a 'dozen' other orgs & churches unite their lobbying efforts, claiming victim to a government scheme.
Heber notes support for religious freedom for The Worldwide Church of God, specifically.
01/13/82: The Church announces Heber Jentzsch is now the President of the Church of Scientology International.
From November 1980 to January 1982, Heber is absent from newspaper archives.
So…where is Hubbard?
I’m gonna end here for now as this went way, way too long.
I’ll pick up on his (supposed) whereabouts & the similarities that have seem to befallen Heber, who is now, per the church & “ex” community, in a nursing home.
I don’t buy it. ✌️
I’m also still banned from YT for 4 more days for reasons they’ve yet to clarify but I may do a deep-dive stream here about this since the ex-Scientology community got me banned there anyway. 🤓
