Exposing Luis Rubiales: The most corrupt, sexist and abusive President in world football

This thread will be split into 2 sections, consisting of 2 and 4 parts respectively

You probably first heard of Rubiales after he forced himself on Spain World Cup winner Jenni Hermoso with an impromptu non-consensual kiss, but this only scrapes the tip of the iceberg for all the horrific and abusive acts he has committed. Let’s begin:

SECTION 1: Rubiales’ Crimes as AFE President

Part 1: Rubiales’ Repeated Harassment of Tamara Ramos

In 2012, Ramos was working for the Association Of Spanish Footballers (AFE) as Commercial Director, where Rubiales was serving as chair at the time. She would later leave the AFE after suing Rubiales for gross misconduct

Ramos reportedly presented a six-pages worth of complaints against Rubiales when leaving the AFE, including comments like 'shut the f*** up' , 'Don't pay attention to this pregnant woman. She has lost her mind' or 'here I do what comes out of the tip of my d***'.

She also offered reports of Rubiales' behaviour, which involved allegedly punching tables and kicking doors, demanding colleagues find him apartments to rent and make personal purchases on his behalf.

Ramos also claimed that after she told Rubiales of her pregnancy, asking him to keep it secret, the 46-year-old decided to call employees to a meeting in a public area and inform them of Ramos' pregnancy against her wishes.

While on maternity leave, Ramos was assigned to a campaign with AXA that demanded long hours and forced her to attend meetings at 1am. Rubiales would allegedly later tell Ramos to “Take the f***ing door and get out of here right now,” after she raised concerns

A day later Ramos was granted medical leave, giving birth the following month to a daughter, Alba. As an old friend of Ramos' then-partner, Rubiales was named godfather to her daughter AGAINST her consent.

Part 2: Rubiales’ Harassment of Yasmina Eid-Macheh

An architect by profession, she was hired by Rubiales in 2015 to renovate his personal home in Valencia whilst he was President of the AFE. The renovation cost €120,000 and Rubiales would divert money from the AFE to fund it.

Yasmina then claims she was assaulted by Rubiales after he demanded she return the €28,593 for the first phase of the renovation, because he suddenly “lost interest” even after she completed it. [CadenaSer]

The worst part about this is that Rubiales blamed it on Yasmina, and accused her of harassing him and his underage daughters! When she filed a complaint, the judge in charge of the case dismissed it.

8 years later and nothing has changed. Rubiales is still blaming the women for the harassment and abuse that he inflicted on them.

SECTION 2: Rubiales’ Crimes as RFEF President

Luis Rubiales was elected President of the RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) in May 2018, defeating ex-Spain Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, who had to resign after a corruption scandal.

Part 1: Orgies, Nepotism and Stealing Spanish FA Funds

Rubiales’ tenure would begin with favouritism and nepotism. He hired his model girlfriend, Brigit Tenorio, into a highly qualified secretary position.

Luis would also hire his uncle, Juan Rubiales, as his chief of staff. This move would later backfire massively as Juan would denounce all of the corruption and scandals his nephew was involved in.

Many people have made jokes about Luis Rubiales looking a lot like famous American porn actor Johnny Sins, but perhaps the similarities are not as far-fetched as one may initially believe

Juan Rubiales revealed that his nephew had used money from the RFEF to pay for orgies in a private chalet in Salobreña, Granada, with up to 8-10 young girls in 2020.

This was at the same time Spain was battling record covid cases and hospitalisations. The President of the RFEF clearly had no respect for the lockdown restrictions

Juan Rubiales also revealed that in August 2020 his nephew told him that he had to “find a way to get money out of the RFEF and to my father.” After he flatly rejected this proposal, Luis told him to “get out of here” and that “he doesn’t want to see him again” [OkDiario]

In 2018, Rubiales made an unauthorised trip to New York with Mexican painter Roberta Lobeira, again paid for by the RFEF. Rubiales lied that he met her through the UN and MLS, which constitutes a crime of unfair administration, punishable by up to 3 years in prison!

Part 2: Rubiales’ Anti-Madrid Agenda

Rubiales also made the controversial decision to sack Spain national team manager Julen Lopetegui just 2 days before the 2018 World Cup began, all because he had agreed a deal with Florentino Perez to become the next Real Madrid manager.
