🚨 How to Transfer Points Between British Airways and Iberia Avios

This is important as:
✅ HDFC to British Airways Avios (in 1:1 ratio)
✅ Accor to Qatar or British Airways Avios
✅ Cheapest way to buy Avios 🔥

💡 There is another reason to transfer between these Avios FFPs:

Lower taxes! 💥

For example, Delhi to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific (economy):

▪️ BA charges 13k miles ➕ Rs 9,715
▪️ Iberia charges 13k miles ➕ Rs ~1,400 😈

However, even better is for business class. 🔥

▪️ BA charges 39k miles ➕ Rs 24,632
▪️ Iberia charges 39k miles ➕ Rs ~1,400 😈

▪️ Transfer points from Amex/Axis/Citi to Qatar Airways
▪️ Link your BA and QR account (see first tweet's thread for more)
▪️ Transfer miles from QR to BA

I'm going to show you how to do it with one mile...

We have one Avios at BA which we can now transfer to other Avios FFPs like Iberia, Aer Lingus and Qatar

We now have an Avios at Iberia

@PresenceSquid @HackingSidd 5️⃣ Combine IB and BA accounts

Now you can do the reverse combine Avios as well. IB account and open "Combine Avios"

Now you could transfer Avios back to BA/Aer Lingus

@PresenceSquid @HackingSidd ⚠️ To use combine Avios, name, address, date of birth and email address must match on both accounts

⚠️ Your Iberia Plus and British Airways account should be at least three months old for the transfer

⚠️ Iberia site could be buggy so can't always rely

@PresenceSquid @HackingSidd This is how I transferred from Axis to Iberia. Also useful when:

✔️ HDFC to QR/BA/IB transfers at 1:1 with Accor
HDFC ➡️ Accor ➡️ Iberia ➡️ BA ➡️ Qatar 😈

✔️ Lower taxes when booked in Iberia than BA/QR

✔️ Speculatively transfer to Accor (so that can choose airline later)

@PresenceSquid @HackingSidd After the transfer and points to Iberia, the buy and gift Avios section is active.

Transfer avios isn't active as I may have to have a balance of at least one Avios for 3 months 😉
