Let's honor the victims of 9/11 by telling the truth:

We were attacked by a terrorist organization that was WORKING FOR the U.S. government.

The proof is available online for anyone brave enough to read it. 1/N 🧵

People want to believe that the DoD and CIA stopped supporting Bin Laden in the 1980s.

That simply isn't true.

Al Qaeda's #2 leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, was working for the U.S. government *in 2001.*

It was part of an operation called Gladio B.

The original Operation Gladio recruited fascists to fight communism inside Europe.

Its successor, Gladio B, recruited Islamists to fight Russia in Central Asia.

We know about Gladio B because of a whistleblower, Sibel Edmonds.

She was an FBI translator with top secret clearance.

The FBI fired her after she reported a conspiracy inside the U.S. government.

Officially, the details of that conspiracy remain classified.

But the DOJ Inspector General found that Edmonds' accusations were credible.

And it concluded that she was fired for trying to blow the whistle.

When Edmonds tried to bring a whistleblower lawsuit, the U.S. government stopped her from testifying.

It said her testimony would reveal "state secrets."

The FBI was so determined to bury her story that it *retroactively classified* almost everything about her.

What was the U.S. government so determined to hide?

From 1997 until 9/11, the deputy leader of Al Qaeda – al-Zawahiri – had regular meetings with the DoD and CIA.

Edmonds says this happened at the U.S. embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan as part of the "Gladio B" operation.

"[A]ll the way up to 9/11, al-Zawahiri and other mujahideen operatives were meeting regularly with senior U.S. officials," said Edmonds.

These operations "were being run from a secret section of the Pentagon with its own office”.

It gets worse.

Edmonds says that al-Zawahiri, bin Ladens, and other members of Al Qaeda were flown on NATO military transport planes.

Al Qaeda was conducting destabilization campaigns, backed by Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, at the behest of the U.S. government.

The U.S. went so far as to have Egypt release Al Qaeda prisoners.

Those militants were flown to Turkey, where they were trained for U.S.-directed operations under the command of al-Zawahiri.

The same man the U.S. would later assassinate, claiming he planned 9/11.

This is all so explosive, it's tempting to dismiss Edmonds as crazy.

After all, she's just one woman. Maybe she had top-secret clearance but lost her mind?

Except that her accusations have been corroborated by additional sources.

The Sunday Times, one of Britain's largest newspapers, confirmed Edmonds' allegations in 2008.

Sources inside the Pentagon, MI6, and the FBI all admitted that Operation Gladio B was real.

But the story was killed before publication by pressure from the U.S. State Department.

We know what happened because, 5 years after the "Gladio B" story was killed by the Sunday Times, the journalists revealed what they'd uncovered.

They spoke on condition of anonymity to Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed of The Guardian.

It's all documented here: ceasefiremagazine.co.uk/whistleblower-…

So, was 9/11 an "inside job"?

We can't prove that.

What we can prove is that our government was overseeing Al Qaeda *at the time of the attack.*

And THAT truth has been hidden from the American people for a quarter century.

We can also prove that the U.S. effort to support Al Qaeda right until 9/11 has links to the Iraq War.

According to Edmond's sworn testimony, one of the leaders of "Gladio B" – Maj. Douglas Dickerson of the DIA – worked directly with Paul Wolfowitz.

Wolfowitz is commonly known as the "architect" of the Iraq War.

He was the Deputy Secretary of Defense who lobbied for the invasion of Iraq after 9/11.

...An attack carried out by the very terrorist organization his associates were still training and funding.
