It’s not true — and he has told variations of the same fake story at least TEN TIMES since taking office.

Biden told Hurricane Ian victims he “lost an awful lot” of his home in a fire.
October 11, 2022:
Biden told the virtual Summit on Fire Prevention and Control that a fire “came up through the ground” and destroyed “everything” in his home: “We almost lost a couple firefighters!”
March 6, 2023:
Biden told the International Association of Firefighters that “every piece of furniture had to be replaced” after a fire on “all three stories” of his home.
August 22, 2023:
Biden told Maui wildfire victims, “I almost lost my wife, my ’67 Corvette, and my cat” in a house fire.
August 30, 2023:
Biden told Hurricane Idalia victims that “half” his home “almost collapsed” in a fire.
December 11, 2023:
Biden told Philadelphia firefighters that “firefighters saved my home and my wife’s life.”
An AP report from 2004 called it a "small" fire that was "contained to the kitchen," with no injuries.
Biden wasn't even home at the time.
