What is BRC-20?
In March of 2023, @domodata introduced an experimental token standard for Bitcoin called the BRC-20 standard.
This innovation allows for the deployment of token contracts, as well as the minting and transfer of tokens, by using ordinal inscriptions of JSON data.
BRC-20 advantages:
➣ Fungible: can be easily traded on exchanges
➣ Secure: built on BTC
➣ Compatible: integrated into the BTC ecosystem
Binance has recently listed several BRC-20 tokens, including $ORDI, $SATS, and $RATS.
More listings on Binance ➜ More money flowing into the BRC-20 ecosystem ➜ New BRC-20 tokens pump more
This is why we should closely monitor this ecosystem.
How to get started:
First, you'll need a Bitcoin wallet.
Here are some options to choose from:
➣ @unisat_wallet
➣ @okxweb3
➣ @xverseApp
I recommend using OKX Wallet because it's the most user-friendly and easiest to get started with.
After setting up your wallet, the next step is to deposit some BTC:
➣ Open your wallet
➣ Click on "Receive"
➣ Choose BTC as the currency
➣ Copy the "Nested SegWit" address
➣ Withdraw BTC from CEX to the copied address
Now, you have two options for obtaining BRC-20 tokens:
➣ Buy them on marketplaces
➣ Mint them
Marketplaces
➣ Unisat Marketplace:
➣ OKX Web3 Marketplace:
I prefer using OKX because it has more volume in comparison to Unisat. unisat.io/market

How to mint BRC-20 tokens:
➣ Go to Unisat:
➣ Click on BRC-20
➣ Search for the ticker
➣ Click on "Mint directly" (If it hasn't been minted out yet)
➣ Enter the amount you want to mint
*Repeat mint is how many such mints you want to perform. unisat.io/search
Finalize the Mint
➣ Provide your wallet address
➣ Choose the fee network you want to pay
➣ Submit & Pay Invoice
To choose the right network fee, you should know what are the fees currently on Bitcoin. Here's how 👇
To check the current fees, visit .
You can find the fees for previous blocks as well as the expected fees for upcoming blocks.
To ensure your transaction goes smoothly, set a fee that's 10% higher than the current medium fee. mempool.space
Always DYOR before minting tokens. Consider:
➣ Number of wallets that have already minted (more holders ➜ more hype ➜ more pump potential)
➣ Duration of the minting process (the longer, the worse)
➣ Project details (search the ticker on Twitter for their official website or Twitter page to read more about the project)
After minting, your inscriptions will be displayed in your wallet.
The easiest way to trade them is through the OKX Marketplace:
➣ Go to
➣ Connect your wallet
➣ Search for your token
➣ List it for sale
➣ Specify the amount
➣ Inscribe these tokens okx.com/web3/marketpla…
Once you've completed the previous steps, you can proceed to set the selling price.
But it's important to think twice before finalizing it because:
➣ You won't be able to set a higher price after that
➣ After canceling an order you'll need to inscribe tokens again (and pay transaction fees)
