AI music generation just hit its inflection point.
Microsoft Copilot can now turn text prompts into full music tracks. It's completely free & insanely good.
Here's everything you need to know and a quick tutorial on how to create your own song:
First off, the new music generation within Microsoft Copilot is thanks to the new integration with Suno announced yesterday.
The integration lets users turn prompts into AI-generated tracks — complete with lyrics, instruments, and vocals.
I show you how below.
Step 1: Enable Suno
- Go to Microsoft Copilot here:
- Navigate to the plugins tab, make sure 'Search' is enabled, then activate Suno copilot.microsoft.com
Step 2: Start prompting
Don't overthink it, simple prompts work very well.
Here's the example prompt I used for my music track:
"Make a groovy rap jazz song about AI advancing society"
Step 3: Get your song
After about a minute, Copilot will give you an external link to listen to the song.
And that's it!
Not gonna lie, my AI-generated rap jazz song kind of sounds like @kanyewest
@kanyewest Here are some suggestions to help get you started:
-Put existing song lyrics into Suno
-Come up with a new rap song about your favorite food
-Compared to other music generators, Suno can create Heavy Metal songs VERY well.
Here's a heavy metal example:
