Dr Marcus de Brun @indepdubnrth has long since described what happened in Irish nursing homes in 2020 as “State Sponsored Euthanasia”. 1/11

He’s spoken of the discharge of patients from acute hospitals to nursing homes without testing, insufficient and extended delays in testing, guidance that stipulated a requirement for advance care planning and DNAR orders for nursing home residents. 2/11

Dr de Brun resigned his position on the Irish Medical Council in an effort to raise the alarm about what he described as the Irish Government’s failure in its obligations to his patients and to the people of Ireland. 3/11

Most of Dr de Brun’s claims are well-documented. We have the receipts.

But what we haven’t seen, in an Irish context, is evidence of midazolam’s role in relation to COVID-19 deaths.

That is until now…. 4/11

Data obtained under Freedom of Information from the HSE Primary Care Reimbursement Service shows a strong correlation between COVID-19 deaths and prescriptions for midazolam under the General Medical Services scheme. 5/11

‘Normal’ usage of midazolam is apparent in January and February 2020 and prior to 2020 (not graphed). The spike in midazolam prescriptions was driven almost entirely by injectable Hypnovel 10mg/2ml. 6/11
@Jikkyleaks

Remember that GPs were being told by the ICGP that “it would not be feasible to manage the majority of patients in hospital” and that there were no proven treatments for COVID-19. 7/11

And healthcare professionals in nursing homes were being told that suspected or confirmed COVID-19 residents should be managed within the facility with ‘supportive care’ and to ensure an anticipatory care plan was available. 8/11

Euthanasia is the act of deliberately ending a person’s life to relieve suffering.

Was there a policy of systematic euthanasia? 9/11

In August 2020, Dr Marcus de Brun stood on the steps of the Custom House and proclaimed to those gathered “I am an angry man!”

Aren’t you angry too?

And they talk of a ‘no-blame’ Covid inquiry? 10/11

We need to demand an audit and investigation of nursing homes where midazolam usage and ‘Covid-19 death’ was high.

Those responsible must be held accountable.
