These 5 things will make your kids say:
“Remember that one Saturday?”
We all get busy.
We’ve all got deadlines
We all only get one weekend
I look back on my childhood and remember these special days where we did awesome things
This thread will help you create one of those “special memories” for your children!
1! Wake them up with a bang!
Start the music and crank it up, get that old boom box pumping the tunes
It can be Metallica or Disney princess songs
the music don’t matter but the mission is to let em know that today is gonna be a good day!
2! Plan something special!
Project time with daddy or trip to the lumber yard
Heck, Home Depot has a kids build project every weekend you don’t need to have skills to have s good time
Pick out flowers, pick out a house project, plan a day around fun and bring the kids along!
3! Planned Playtime
Shoot bows or ride bikes
Kick the ball or shoot some hoops
Wrestle or trampoline, skate or play chase, grab a board game or their favorite book
The idea is that YOU planned something you wanted to do WITH them
This will create a one-of-a-kind memory!
4! Do something you enjoy but bring them with you!
Show them how to smoke meat or grill a steak, take them to pick out the cuts and bring them along
Being a dad doesn’t mean you don’t do what you want, it means you make normal everyday tasks feel super fun for those kids!
5! Cap the night off with a bang!
Dad you gotta sell this thing!
“guys just wait we’re gonna build the biggest fire this neighborhood had ever seen!”
I mean this is “sell me the pen” but with lifelong ramifications
Make this the biggest baddest fire ever!
Bolster the memory!
Thanks for reading!
Make it that one Saturday they’ll never forget
Don’t just do weekend things! Really do those things with the idea of fun and happiness
Make it special for those kids!
