I haven’t watched a single Humane review but here’s mine 🧵

Industrial Design is top notch but also very Apple. The weighted charging pad to the sounds the device makes when you take the battery off/on are incredible.

But as soon as you turn it on, after 4 hard resets for me, it all falls off a cliff — HARD

The laser display is very hard to use, the gestures obscure the screen, and it does NOT track your hand.

Also, does not work in the sun…

When you ask what you’re looking at it simply brags about itself.

Turns out you need to speak an exact phrase JUST LIKE SIRI

Also, when it does work it simply says what ChatGPT would. That API is super easy to use and there’s no good reason this isn’t reliable 🤷🏾‍♂️

And the nail in the coffin ⚰️

It makes a smug joke about not being able to teleport you to a location and then instructs you to open a Maps app on a SMARTPHONE

It is a pretty device and I hope the hardware team finds a team building something people want or there is a massive change in leadership.

Mine is packed and ready to return.

I’m an early adopter and am happily beta testing a number of devices where these kinds of issues are expected while still providing some value and a hope of a better future.

But the AI Pin is not a beta device or a dev kit.
