June 6, 2020 — @jk_rowling claims she would march with trans people "if they were being discriminated against on the basis of being trans."
May 5, 2024 — Rowling joins in the cyberbullying of a trans woman for the crime using the term "bra-length hair".
A sad, short 🧵:
Today, @HazelAppleyard_ reposted this photo of a 40+ year old trans woman, @perl5girl.
Perl's original post came from 4 months ago, on January 18.
Dubbed by Nick Hilton this January as "Britain’s gloriously nasty novelist", @jk_rowling added her two cents.
Perhaps @jk_rowling was simply ignorant of the fact that the basic hair lengths do in fact include "bra strap length", as a simple google search will show.
An equally easy cross-reference of this photo will show that this picture has been used as a standard hair growth chart for over a decade, including by haristraightenersupplier.com
However, that did not stop others from commenting with their own original iterations, which Rowling must have found funny.
But if you thought that @HazelAppleyard_ and @jk_rowling were stooping to Pansy Parkinson's level of mean girl bullying, just wait until you see the comments under @perl5girl 's original post:
There's more:
Perl Girl deleted her post and locked her account.
Funny enough, just yesterday, @elonmusk said he agreed with @jk_rowling on her trans views, and encouraged her to post "interesting or positive content on other matters."
Needless to say, Rowling did not take his advice.

I wonder if JK Rowling has her own personal portrait, like that of Dorian Gray, stored somewhere in her attic, and with every tweet it grows a little more twisted.
I imagine it looks something like this by now:

In conclusion, to @jk_rowling:
I meant "bra-strap-length hair."
:/
Anyways, @UnrollHelper unroll.
