You have 3 free transfers to make today. You can have up to 6 players from one team.

Remember that we have till 8pm BST to make them, & we'll be able to see the lineups for:
PSG v Dortmund

As always, I won't make my transfers until the lineup for this game has been released.

As with the rest of the knockout stage, remember to NOT just think about this MD for your transfers, you need to think about which players are likely to be playing in the Final.

We get 5 FTs to make before the final. So as long as you still have 6 players, with those 5 FTs you can get to 11 players for the final.

Real are the favourites to qualify. Bayern are the most likely to get eliminated.

And PSG are favoured to get past Dortmund despite the Germans winning the 1st leg 1-0.

PSG, then Real, are obviously the teams to target:
-At home
-Favourites to qualify

I would avoid Dortmund….unless to want to go for a YOLO play or to have cover if Dortmund were to qualify...

🗒️ Transfer Strategy

As mentioned above, outside of a YOLO play, the ONLY reason to transfer IN Dortmund players would be to ensure you have 6 players in the final.

Why 6?

With 5FTs you get up to 11 players for the final.

If you were to have 3+ players from each of the 4 teams, regardless of who qualifies, you would have 6+ players for the final.

Or you could have:
5 Real
5 Bayern
4 PSG
1 Dortmund

And even if Dortmund qualifies, with 5 from Real/Bayern you get 6 players in the final.

🧤 GKs

Using 1 of your 3 FTs on a GK is a luxury move. The rest of your team must be great!

Gianluigi Donnarumma (6.0m) is the best GK of the round.

🛡️ DFs

Due to the strength of the matchup, PSG have the best defenders.

Hakimi (6.1m) is must own
Mendes (5.5m) then Marquinhos (5.5m) are the next 2 best DFs.

Dani Carvajal is back from suspension & is the best Real Mardid DF, followed by Rüdiger (5.4m) & Mendy (5.2m).

I don't like taking any of the Bayern defenders. Mazraoui is probably the best option, but Davies could well start instead. Dier seems to be the most nailed centre half as de Ligt is a doubt but preferred to Kim.

Hummels & Schlotterbeck are the best options from Dortmund.

🎯 MDs

The best Mid, by far is Jude. He is must-own. I'm sure everyone reading this own him!

Vitinha is the next best mid. If you need a mid & don't own him bring him in!

Fabian Ruiz is a better option than WZE.

Despite being the underdogs away to Real I like Musiala. He didn't play at the weekend but is likely to start tomorrow.

⚽️ FWDs

Does anyone NOT own Kylian Mbappé?!

The best forward & best captain today.

Tied for 2nd best is Vinicius Júnior (11.1m) & the best differential: Ousmane Dembélé (8.2m)

Rodrydo projects to score higher than Kane even considering his likely sub out for Brahim Díaz. And I'm not a big fan of Niclas Füllkrug (7.5m) in for this MD. There are better FWDs & better Dortmund players.

The best Captains by each day:

Tues 7th May:
Kylian Mbappé (11.7m) 6.0xPts

Wed 8th May:
Jude Bellingham (8.0m) 5.9xPts

My Team now

I currently have 8 players. With 3 FTs that gets me up to 11.

I could play it safe & bring in Musiala, Dier & Schlotterbeck which would give me:
3 Real
3 Bayern
3 PSG
2 Dortmund

The worst case scenario is I would have 10 players for the final... but I would prefer to NOT bring in 3 players from German teams given the matchup of this MD.

All aboard the PSG Express! Players in:

▶️ Marquinhos (5.5m)
▶️ Fabián Ruiz Peña (6.0m)

A PSG CS% would be MASSIVE for my team. Big risk will lead to a big gain...or a TOTAL disaster if Dortmund qualify!
