“Der Ewige Jude” (The Eternal Jew) exhibition was a traveling exhibition organized by the NSDAP with the goal of informing the public about the Jewish problem. It was held in several major cities in Germany and Austria between 1937 and 1939.
An extensive overview of Jewish history was featured in the exhibition, with a particular emphasis on the countless Jewish expulsions that took place around the world and the reasons behind them.
Exhibits about the Middle ages, “Usury And Receiving Stolen Goods Have Always Been Their Privilege”. This exhibit includes a list of the Jews who were involved in the Frankfurt coin scandal of 1760.
Exhibit that includes the distinctive Jewish clothes that were worn as a warning against “Racial defilement”. In the 13th century, it was decreed by a competent council of the city of Frankfurt that all Jews should wear them.
“Jewish Intellectualism Rapes The German Life”. This exhibit includes portraits of Albert Einstein, Rosenfeld, Bonn and Werlauer.
“Jewish Criminals Undermine The National Morality”. This exhibit includes Jews who played a significant role in the normalization of sexual perversions, such as Magnus Hirschfeld.
“The Degeneration Of Art”. Exhibit showing the Jewish role in the promotion of “Kulturbolschewismus” (Culture-Bolshevism). A few months earlier, in July of 1937, the NSDAP organized an exhibition solely about “Degenerate Art”.
“The Jewish press in Germany and abroad”. This exhibit includes the prominent Jews who owned the major press publications, such as the President of the Association of the German Press and editor of the Paris daily newspaper, Georg Bernhard.
“Jews ridicule and violate German law”. This exhibit includes images of Jewish lawyers and Judge Johannes Werthauer, a defender of Jews involved with the Kutisker-scandal. Some other notable people included are: Otto Liebmann, Ernst Heilmann, Dr Gradnauer and Georg Sklar.
“Seducer and Seduced”. This exhibit includes Jewish ministers and members of the German government, such as Walther Rathenau.
This exhibit highlights the Jewish background of certain individuals who are widely known only by their nationalities. Among the exhibits are: Sigmund Bosel, Litwinow Finkelstein and Theodor Kohn.
The Chancellor of Austria, Arthur Seyss Inquart presents the Anti-Masonic exhibit to the honor guests, mainly members of the NSDAP, among them the Chief of the Reich Chancellery, Hans Lammers.
