Back on May 1, 2024, the city of AKRON announced that they are handing out free RING DOORBELLS.

News yesterday say that a councilman will shell out over 5K to give free ring doorbells for residents.
It seems to be a trend.
Here is the concern - When you walk into a cell phone company and get service, you have two choices.
Get a free phone with a set contract.
Get a phone and pay it off in conjunction with your contract.
PAY it in full.
When you pay it in full, it is harder for the cell company to provide backdoor access to your phone as you only pay for service, and they do not "technically" own your phone.
Therefore, Your RING camera is not yours. Caveat? Do they have access to your feed? These are all questions. Why is AMAZON pushing this so hard?
