The guilt of Scott Watson in 13 tweets...and I don't need hair strand DNA or a blink photo to prove it. The slides in this thread come from my webinar on the Scott Watson case, which identify six key issues. Firstly, was he capable of murderous intent? The jury weren't told../1

The jury weren't allowed to know of Scott Watson's fantasies, nor that he allegedly tried to rape a young woman at knifepoint years earlier. Ask @nzstuff why their alleged "investigative journalist" Mike White omits this from his reporting. No.2, Watson DOES match the IDs /2

/3...When you read the earliest witness statements when memories were fresh, confirmed descriptions of Scott Watson that night were a strong match for sightings of the mystery man (MM). The confirmed sightings have all been admitted as Watson by his lawyers../3

/4...Let's look more closely at the list of common features shared by both the mystery man and Scott Watson. Watson's list is based on what he told police, what he said in those confirmed sightings. DNA evidence is strong at odds of a million to 1. Look at how the list compares/4

/5...Issue 3: Was Scott Watson in the right place at the right time? Watson had to be on Guy Wallace's water taxi between 3.30am and 4am. Watson has never been able to explain how he returned to Blade if not with Guy Wallace../5 ianwishart.com/2016/03/the-qu…

/6..Issue 4: Did Guy Wallace drop them all at a "big ketch"? Because if he was confused on a dark moonless night pulling alongside a yacht rafted top-and-tail against another yacht that would explain glimpsed perceptions of two masts and lots of rope. . /6

/7..You see, when you actually look at how the 3 witnesses really described Ben and Olivia's "easy step" onto the boat, it is totally consistent with Blade, not climbing onto a towering ketch deck in near pitch darkness with no ladder.../7

/8...Nothing about what they saw suggests Ben and Olivia "stepped" onto a ketch.. /8

/9...The first sketch of the mystery ketch (second mast and portholes removed for comparison) that Guy drew for police contained the haunting doubt in the lower right corner: "Ketch?" He genuinely wasn't sure. When overlaid against a picture of Blade - Snap!.../9

/10..Issue 5: Why did Scott Watson lie about where he sailed on New Year's morning (And why has alleged journalist Mike White covered up for Watson by NEVER revealing this?) Watson's alibi of sailing to his mate Zappa in Erie Bay on 1 Jan 1998 and painting his boat was a lie../10

/11..In fact, Watson was seen by several independent witnesses motoring Blade at full speed towards Picton after 9.30am 1 Jan. Which is where charter skipper Ted Walsh saw him painting the boat blue later that afternoon. But a few witnesses said Watson began painting at sea../11

/12..Who was the man helping repaint en route to Picton? More to the point, guess whose yacht was seen offloading what looked like "two bodies" into a dinghy waiting at Picton's Shakespeare Bay (and why hasn't Mike White reported this?)
