What I saw at the terrorist rally outside Congregation Adas Torah (Congregation of the Bible) in Los Angeles
The LAPD allowed terrorist supporters to occupy both sides of the synagogue while keeping Jewish counterprotesters out. Only a narrow protected lane allowed access.
There were multiple insistances of Jewish community members being maced/bear sprayed with no police response
the LAPD was deployed in riot gear but did nothing for nearly an hour, failed to separate protesters from counterprotesters, intervene or put up barriers
this is exactly how it had previously played in the attack by terrorist supporters on the nearby Museum of Tolerance and at UCLA with the LAPD standing there and doing nothing until the violence escalated
Hamas supporters were able to freely roam around a Jewish neighborhood in the Pico-Robertson area threatening people
a Muslim man in a keffiyeh told me "billions will come to kill you"
some clearly came prepped for violence like this guy wearing ski goggles in 90 degree weather
Many Jewish community members, including teenage girls and families, took a risk by coming to what they thought would be a safe rally only to face violence and threats
this is a failure by Mayor @KarenBassLA and the @911LAPD but also by the Jewish community leadership which
failed to
1. control the ground in front of the synagogue
2. set up a rally zone
3. set up a sound system
4. maintain security beyond a few roving outnumbered Magen Am volunteers
some community leaders urged people not to go to avoid giving the terrorist supporters publicity
others came but in an unorganized fashion
while leftists are able to throw together anti-semitic rallies at short notice, the Jewish community has failed to prep
and the result is that terrorist supporters were able to freely operate in the heart of the Pico-Robertson Jewish community and to intimidate a synagogue
this is a moral and strategic failure
things need to change
