Today, as I and other members have suggested, Chairman @RepLoudermilk filed a brief that supports Steve Bannon’s emergency motion in federal court.
Chairman Loudermilk is the right guy to file this, and he has help from Stephen Miller’s great @America1stLegal.
As the man who can speak for the whole House on these matters, Loudermilk has been investigating the illegal J6 Committee’s actions.
The strongest part of the brief is that members of the House didn’t know at the time, because Benny Thompson didn’t tell them, that under House rules Steve Bannon had never factually been legally subpoenaed!

It turns out that under House rules, the J6 Committee was fake and had no subpoena authority. When Bannon didn’t show up, he didn’t have to, legally.
House Democrats said that adding RINO Liz Cheney counted as a “minority ranking member,” but as @RepLoudermilk points out, the minority leader picks the ranking member.
Pelosi wasn’t allowed to just handpick the most treacherous RINO and call it legal. The J6 Committee’s subpoena authority flowed from the notice to the ranking member, and with Liz Cheney as a fake ranking member, the subpoenas were also fake.
This could have been done under Speaker McCarthy over a year ago, and it’s a shame it wasn’t done. Kudos to @SpeakerJohnson for authorizing this. No matter how late, the truth has to come out!
