"The Jewish roots of the North American slave trade"

The Jews had a monopoly on the world slave trade for several hundred years.

In this thread I will focus solely on several individuals, all Jewish, who heavily influenced, profited from, and drove every aspect of the North American slave trade.

In 'The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews', Dr. Seymour B. Liebman (Jew) is quoted as saying:

"The ships were not only owned by Jews, but were manned by Jewish crews and sailed under the command of Jewish captains".

Our first stop is Rhode Island, where we find Aaron Lopez. One of the most prominent slave traders, he ran one of the largest slave trading operations in North America. Lopez operated 50% of the slave trading vessels in the Transatlantic trade. Of which 63 are listed below.

"The historical record memorialized Lopez' importance to the economy of slavery. It was Lopez and his colleagues, Arabs and African warlords, who were directly and mostly responsible for the brutality and inhumanity directed at millions of Africans".

One last bit on Aaron Lopez. The cornerstone of the oldest synagogue in America was laid by none other than slave trader and Jew, Aaron Lopez. And to top it off, it was built by his very own slaves.

Also calling Rhode Island home was the Jewish DeWolf family.

From 1769-1820 this family brought approximately 12,000 enslaved Africans across the Middle Passage, making the DeWolf family our nation's single most successful slave-trading family.

Before I move on, let's see just how involved Jews were in the slave trade in Rhode Island. Jews owned approximately 300 slave ships in Newport, Rhode Island alone. They sold slaves all over the South.

Next stop Louisiana. The vast majority of cotton dealers were Jews. Naturally, they owned many slaves. In Shreveport, there was a slave trading post that was run by Jews.

Slave owners had 1 vote + 3/5 vote per slave. And notice how many of the politicians were Jews.

Judah P. Benjamin was a US Senator (La) and Att. Gen., Sec. of War, and Sec. of State for the Confederacy. And the first Jew to hold a Cabinet level role in the American government. Also a Jewish slave trader/owner and one of the main proponents of pro-slavery in the South.

From here we'll move on to the Carolinas, where we find another Jewish family, the Mordecai family. This family was one of the most prominent of slave owners and owned the largest slave plantation in North Carolina, covering over 1,000 acres worked by at least 200 slaves.

A prominent Jewish surname in the Transatlantic slave trade was Cohen.

Jacob Cohen, Mordecai Cohen, and Hyam Cohen were all slave traders in the Carolinas. Below are some of their advertisements.

Continuing South we find ourselves in Georgia.... And would you look at that? The first recorded Jew in Augusta Georgia was Isaac Hendricks, who was a slave plantation owner as were his son-in-law and daughter.

While we're still in Augusta, Georgia, look who else do we find, another Cohen! Solomon Cohen was one of the most prominent and out spoken slave owners in all of Georgia.

The last stop on our tour is Florida, where we discover that the 1st town in North America with Jews was St. Augustine. Let's look at the research Jews at the St. Augustine Jewish Historical Society have been doing on the people of St. Augustine.

Now that we've established Jews lived in St. Augustine, a quick look at the St. Augustine doctrine shows us that it was was also the 1st place in North America to import slaves in 1581.

Florida Jew Moses Elias Levy wrote a book while in London in 1828 about abolishing slavery. Later in life he moved to Florida and hypocritically bought a huge slave plantation and slaves. He called it "Pilgrimage Plantation".

Jewish tricks?

Moses Elias Levy's son was the Jewish Senator of Florida at the time of the Civil War, David Levy Yulee.

Yulee owned many slaves, and was one of the most outspoken pro-slavery advocates. Yulee was known as a "fire-eater". Who were the most extreme in the pro-slavery stance.

Professor Of African History Tony Martin: "Jews had been involved not only in the African slave trade but had been involved in a variety of other slave trades too for a very long period of time".

Louis Farrakhan: "These were Jewish people owning the land. They were the majority, they were the merchants, they were the traders...."

This thread is a very small fraction of the information I uncovered. But I believe that it is more than enough to positively show that the Jews were indeed major power-players in the North American African slave trade.
