For example--in Feb 2024, DC appellate panel vacated a computer monitoring imposed by lunatic Judge Reggie Walton on J6er Daniel Goodwyn.
Goodwyn was inside the building for about 10 seconds and pleaded guilty to the most common trespassing misdemeanor. Walton also sentenced him to 60 days in prison.
Here is what the court said as to Walton's order on computer monitoring of Goodwyn:
Rather than take the L and let Goodwyn go on with his life 3 1/2 years later, Walton ignored the appellate court warning and made up lies about how Goodwyn was using his computer to plot another "insurrection."
Goodwyn committed no violence on J6.
This is Walton in June 2024:
DOJ claiming Goodwyn's posts--which include screenshots of GOVERNMENT filings with names of GOVERNMENT employees whose names are on those public documents--represent a threat.
Walton agrees.
Despite a stern rebuke by DC appellate court and DOJ's laughably preposterous arguments about Goodwyn's "threat," Walton re-imposed the computer monitoring provision.
Walton:
Goodwyn is again appealing Walton's computer monitoring order and asked for a stay (hold) of Walton's new order until the appeal is considered.
Two Dem judges--including the thrice reversed wife of Dem activist Max Stier, Judge Flo Pan--denied the motion to stay.
In a dissent, Judge Gregory Katsas (whose opinion in Fischer essentially guided SCOTUS reversal of 1512c2) said he would grant the stay bc Goodwyn is likely to prevail again and Walton's order violates Goodwyn's 1A rights.
