The AFU was geolocated advancing towards the village of Kruglen'koe, Kursk region while coming under Russian cluster munitions fire. The location and direction of advance makes us believe we can adjust the map, and put a certain part under AFU control which was considered a gray zone before.

On Saturday, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) entered the Belyovsky district of the Kursk region. The acting governor reported that the situation was stabilized by Russian defenders. Currently, there are no active combat engagements in the Belyovsky and Oboyansky districts, he claims.

Russian source claims that in addition to Makhnovo, which was confirmed yesterday, the AFU has gained control over Plekhovo.

If confirmed true by other sources, map will be adjusted. And it will be high likely that Melovoi, which is south of Sudzha, is also under AFU control.
Russian sources claim that on the border of the Belgorod region with Ukraine, the AFU is operating in small groups and there were clashes in several places such as Bezymeno and Kolotilovka.

Which actions is not specified.
Russian source Rybar confirms that the AFU has presence inside Plekhovo, and was seen in the vicinity of Borki and Spal'noe just east of it. The latter could mean AFU is scaling up activity from the border area south of it as well. Ukrainian DRG groups were noted near Belaya Sloboda further east.

The head of the Bundestag's defense committee stated that Ukraine's offensive in the Kursk region is progressing better than expected and could lay the groundwork for negotiations with Putin's successor. He noted that Putin no longer has control over the situation.

"ATESH" partisan group is monitoring the transfer of Russian military personnel from the 810th Marine Brigade to the Kursk region. An agent observed the movement of 10 KAMAZ trucks with soldiers in the Donetsk region, which were later identified as heading to defend Kursk. The Ukrainian "Baba Yaga" drone is destroying Russian fortifications in the Kursk region. Russian media is reportedly in a panic, claiming that Ukrainian forces are trying to encircle Kursk, though this is just another instance of Russian hysteria.
Reports are coming in that the Russian 272nd Motorized Rifle Regiment, relocated from the Kharkiv area to near Kursk, was reportedly heavily attacked by Ukrainian UAVs during its transfer. The attack would have resulted in several dozen fatalities, around 100 wounded and the destruction of several T-80 tanks. The regiment was moving in a column when it was hit.
In the early days of the operation in the Kursk region, a video was released showing Ukrainian soldiers capturing 29 Russian troops, according to DeepState.

Multiple reports now coming in that a big attack on Korenevo is happening, involving armored units and lots of FPV strikes. From initial reports we read that Ukraine is trying to bypass Korenevo from the east, and is already succeeding in some areas.

Despite sending reinforcements, Russian forces are still unable to push back the Ukrainian military in the Kursk region, according to FT. A Ukrainian soldier stated, "We are going deeper."

On August 10, Ukrainian military intelligence officers from the SBU, with call signs Mechan and Fox, along with scouts from the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade, with call signs Jew, Coach, and Zhora, captured a Russian T-80BVM tank of 2023 model near the city of Sudzha in Kursk Oblast. The tank, which was in perfect condition with a full tank of fuel and complete ammunition, was part of the Russian Airborne Forces.
More Russian prisoners were taken, among them Akhmat forces.
Various numbers are circulating, but somewhere between 500-1000 Russian servicemen were taken captive already in the Kursk region in just 6 days.
