Patti LaBelle is in the house!

she's still got it

Jimmy Carter's grandson: "My grandfather can't wait to vote for Kamala Harris."

Malcolm Kenyatta on Project 2025: "It's interesting because usually Republicans want to ban books, but now they're trying to shove this down our throats."

Common!

The DNC put together of onetime Trump voters explaining why they're voting for Harris this year

shoutout to the DNC house band. They're really damn good.

former Trump supporter Kyle Sweetser explains why he's voting for Harris

the DNC put together a video montage highlighting Trump/Vance weirdness

Former Trump Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham at the DNC: "Behind closed doors, he mocks his supporters."

amazing -- after Sean O'Brien wasn't invited to speak at the DNC, Gary Peters invited a bunch of rank and file Teamsters to join him on stage

As we wait for speeches to resume, let me work in a plug for my newsletter. We have a piece dropping tmrw on how Trump is setting the stage for another coup attempt that I think you'll appreciate, & paid subs make my work possible. Click to sign up 👇 Thx publicnotice.co/subscribe

ok having a dj for this is a fun twist

every state has their own song. Arkansas's is Bill Clinton's 1992 theme song, which still goes hard

Lil Jon!

Democrats have extremely good taste in music. I'm loving the DNC roll call.

FOX NEWS PRODUCER: Shit, the DNC roll call is too much fun. Quick, get someone on screen to tamp down the vibes.

Minnesota's song is the funkiest song without bass of all time

Spike Lee representing New York

this was a cool moment 👇

lmao Green Bay Packers booed at the DNC!

Vikings legend John Randle!

Gavin Newsom's soundtrack for California and his promo for Kamala Harris included 2pac and Kendrick Lamar "Not Like Us"

Schumer dances onto the stage

worth noting that Kamala Harris is speaking in Milwaukee at the same time as these DNC speeches

a clip from Ana Navarro's speech, which took place while I was watching a bit of Harris in Milwaukee 👇

Schumer: "Senate Republicans pretend to care about middle class families, but they voted no on expanding the child tax credit, and JD Vance didn't even show up to vote."

Bernie Sanders: "It is an honor to be with you tonight, because we're laying the groundwork for Kamala Harris to become our next president ... I want you all to remember where we were 3.5 years ago ... within 2 months of [Biden-Harris] taking office, our government did respond."

Pritzker: "We eliminated the grocery tax. Donald hasn't been in a grocery store since his first bankruptcy. Illinois invested in clean energy and the jobs it brings. Donald claimed that windmills in the ocean made the whales a little batty."

oooh Trump isn't gonna like this one

Pritzker: "Let's be clear -- it's not woke that limits economic growth. And these guys aren't just weird. They're dangerous."

Pritzker: "We have a choice between the man who left our country a total mess and the woman who has spent four years cleaning it up. And I think it's time we stop expecting women to clean up messes without the authority and the title to match the job."

As we approach the headlining speeches for night 2 of the DNC, let me say that if you appreciate me bringing you all these highlights, please show love by signing up for my newsletter. I think you'll enjoy PN & paid subscribers make my work possible. Thx. publicnotice.co/subscribe

Michelle Lujan Grisham on Trump: "If you don't think a second term would be worse, then I got a box of Trump Steaks to sell you."

right-wing TV is all in on covering relatively small protests in Chicago in a desperate bid to advance the narrative that it's 1968 all over again (it isn't)

Angela Alsobrooks: "Kamala Harris knows how to keep criminals off the streets. And come November, with your help, she'll keep one out of the Oval Office ... Kamala has reminded us that we don't need to fear anything. Not the future and certainly not that man."

John Giles, mayor of Mesa: "I have a confession to make. I'm a lifelong Republicans. But I feel more at home here than in today's Republican Party. The Grand Old Party has been kidnapped by extremists and devolved into a cult. The cult of Donald Trump."

Giles: "I have an urgent message for the majority of Americans who like me are in the political middle. John McCain's Republican Party is gone and we don't owe a damn thing to what's been left behind. So let's turn the page. Let's put country first."

Damn. Duckworth lit Trump up right out of the gate.

Duckworth: "How dare a convicted felon like Donald Trump treat women seeking health care like they're the ones breaking the law. How dare JD Vance criticize childless women on cable news then vote against legislation that would've actually helped Americans to start families."

adding this funny moment 👇 to my thread

I think it's cool that Emhoff is being so upfront about his divorce and the joy of his relationship with Kamala

Emhoff makes the character case for Kamala

Emhoff wraps up a great speech: "Here's the thing about joyful warriors: They're still warriors. And Kamala is as tough as it comes. Just as the criminals, global gangsters, and witnesses before the Senate Judiciary Committee ... she is exactly the right president."

Michelle Obama gets a huge reception and says, "America, hope is making a comeback!"

adding the wonderful Doug Emhoff hype video to my DNC night 2 thread 👇

Michelle Obama: "My girl, Kamala Harris, is more than ready for this moment. She is one of the most qualified people ever to seek the office of the presidency."

Michelle Obama with some subtle shots at Trump to make the contrast with Harris

One of the best lines of the night 👇

adding Michelle Obama's devastating indictment of Trump to my thread 👇

Michelle Obama is fantastic: "We cannot be our own worst enemies. The minute something goes wrong, the minute a lie takes hold, folks, we cannot start ringing our hands. We cannot get a goldilocks complex about whether everything is just right. We cannot indulge our anxieties."

Barack Obama gets a giant reception

Barack Obama: "I'm the only person stupid enough to speak after Michelle Obama."

Obama: "My first big decision as your nominee turned out to be one of my best. And that was asking Joe Biden to serve by my side as vice president ... at a time when the other party had turned into a cult of personality, we needed a leader who was steady."

Obama on Trump: "It has been a constant stream of gripes and grievances that has actually gotten worse now that he's afraid of losing to Kamala."

Obama then does the accordion hands!

Obama on Trump: "We have all seen that movie before, and we all know the sequel is usually worse."

Obama on Walz: "I love this guy ... you can tell those flannel shirts he wears don't come from some political consultant. They come from his closet. And they have been through some stuff."

Obama on the ACA: "I've noticed by the ways that since it's become popular they don't call it Obamacare no more."

Obama says "mutual respect" has to be part of the Democratic message: "We start thinking that the only way to win is to scold and shame and out yell the other side. And after a while, regular folks just tune out."

Obama: "We shouldn't be the world's policeman and we can't eradicate every cruelty and injustice in the world. But America can and must be a force for good ... that's what Kamala Harris believes, and so do most Americans."

lmao Newsmax with an all time salty chyron

Obama closes night 2 of the DNC: "Let's get to work!"
