Alright so here's the deal, I myself am not a furry but I this whole Furaffinity hack situation interested me so much, I knew I had to dig deeper. So after a lot of research, here is a comprehensive explanation, as to the events that occured earlier. 🧵

- Furaffinity was first hacked at 12:48 am on August 20th. The hacker changed the Domain so that it lead a fake version of the website. Where they would likely steal information from users

-The Original owners would then promptly release a warning. Saying that nobody should access the website under any means.

-A war then ensued between the hacker and the owners. Where each side struggled for control of the website. With both sides managing to hold it for a brief period of time, before the other managed to seize control from them

While this was going on. The owners of Furaffinty attempted to get in touch with NetSolCares. In order to regain control. However Customer Support did nothing, as even though they proved they were in fact the one's who owned the Domain. They were told they had to wait 24-48 hours

The Hacker then managed to also hack Furaffinty's Official Twitter Which they then proceeded to make posts featuring anti furry sentiment, talked about how much they loved Kiwi Farms. And then also made claims that the deceased owner of the website, Dragoneer. Was secretly a Pedo

The Owners of the website then released a statement on Discord, telling everyone that the official Furaffinty Twitter was hacked

Not long after this, the Hacker managed to also get a hold of Dragoner's Twitter as well.

For a brief period of time, the Furaffinity Twitter was actually deleted, but it went back up not long after.

while this was happening, the Domain was once again changed by the Hacker. This time, when you went to a website. It led to a news story about gay furries sexually abusing a child.

An hour later, It was changed again. So when you went to the website, it would instead redirect to the website "Kiwi Farms."

Shortly afterwards the admins of Kiwi Farms would make an official statement. Declaring that they were not affiliated with the hacker.

While this happened, the hacker for some reason changed the Furaffinty's @. Which one furry by the name of "Whanos". just so happened to notice, and swiftly stole the @ from the hacker. With the intent to safely hold onto it for the owners.

The hacker then made a statement about this user stealing the @, and they were shortly mocked for their efforts.

And as I am typing this. This should be everything you need to know. If there's anything I missed, please add it below in the comments.

(To clarify: This thread was not made to gain social media points or "clout", but to place all the necessary information in one place.)

Something I forgot to include to thread earlier, was that the person who originally hacked Furaffinity, also attempted to shill Crypto currency using the Official Twitter account

It should also be noted, that the Hacker also admitted that he lost 300k from this endeavor. Now whether it was from the crypto scam, or holding the Domain of Furaffinity, I'm not certain.

Either way, it's very funny.

Also, here is an explantion offered as to how the website was hacked in the first place. I am not a tech Expert, so I don't know what any of this means. So any questions should be forwarded to @scDotDave

@scDotDave Also, while this happened. The Fundraiser that was made to support the mother of Dragoneer has been horribly disrupted during the chaos. So to spread awareness, I am going to add said fundraiser to the thread.

@EmoHobo Added it to the list

@FootwearLoverAD But no in all seriousness, I just used screenshots that were provided by other people who commented on this situation.

@Zilepo_Opeliz @LegacyTag @angiewolfartist to name a few

UPDATE: It looks like progress has been made in securing the Domain, and as of right now. They have also temporarily locked down the website.

Idk if this means they have complete control over the Domain now, but this is good news

Follow up Update: It seems that they have full control over the Domain now. I have no idea what the situation with the Twitter account is now. But I'll keep an eye out.

FINAL UPDATE: Alright, it looks like the owners have officially gotten their hands on the Furaffinity Twitter account. And with that, I think this saga is just about wrapped up.

@LegacyTag Don't get me wrong though, this was pretty interesting to keep an eye on. Even though this was absurdly chaotic.
