Russian sources claim that two settlements were recaptured in the Kursk region by the Russian 56th Guards Air Assault Regiment, without specifying which ones.

In Russia's Belgorod region, a locomotive and about eleven empty freight train cars derailed due to "interference in transportation operations."
According to other Russian sources, against the backdrop of offensive actions which involved the 155th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade, Russia managed to dislodge Ukrainian units from Gordeevka, Vnezapnoe, Viktorovka, Byakhovo, as well as entrenched themselves in the villages of Apanasovka and Snagost'. Thus far no visual confirmation was given.
Villages highlighted in red would allegedly been recaptured by Russian forces while those highlighted in orange are contested.
Several Russian sources confirm ongoing clashes at Novyi Put', Kursk region bordering Ukraine. This is roughly 25km west of the current front line in the Kursk region.
Russian sources report that "troubling reports from the Kursk region near the villages of Khomutovka and Kalinovka."
Khomutovka and Kalinovka, Kursk region, are ~15km east of the Troebortnoe border crossing with Ukraine and ~60km north of current hostilities in the Kursk region.

"Russian forces have liberated around 10 settlements in the Kursk region," according to Chechen Akhmat commander Alaudinov.
Footage from the Russian side shows Ukrainian activity on the Ukrainian side of the Nekhoteevka checkpoint at the Belgorod border.
According to Russian sources, Ukrainian units are moving in the direction of Medvezh'e, Kursk region. This is ~10km east of Novyi Put' where reports came from this morning, stating that Ukrainian units were reportedly attacking.
In addition to previous information from Russian sources:
"Russian border guards and military units repelled another enemy assault near the Volfino-Novy Put section in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region. The enemy used engineering equipment to breach obstacles but has since retreated. The situation remains tense, with Russian forces maintaining their positions."
Famous phrasing.
A damaged and abandoned Russian T-80BV(M?) tank near Snagost' in the Kursk region. This is likely a result of Russia's counteroffensive in the area.
A Ukrainian military source about the situation in the Kursk region.
"On the Kursk front, small Russian groups are conducting assaults. As of now, they have lost a company, three BMPs, one tank, and one APC. The advance has been partially halted."
More Russian sources now report/confirm that Ukrainian forces are trying to break into the Glushkovsky district in the Kursk region.
"Right now, our troops are repelling the onslaught of Ukrainian troops. Under the cover of two tanks, the AFU rolled up a trawl and are trying to carry out demining activities. One of the Ukrainian tanks has already been hit by our kamikaze drone. Also, from the field reports about the destruction of two of the five enemy armored vehicles that were trying to deliver Ukrainian paratroopers."
Larger Russian channels now picking up and confirming the info regarding an AFU attack towards Medvezh'e.
According to the latest information, Ukrainian units managed to grab a foothold already.
"The enemy is supported by artillery very actively. At present, the onslaught is continuing."
