After completing a Map of Lower Nob Hill, I found:
- 125 Roaming Homeless
- 108 Closed Businesses
- 13 Tents
- 13 For Rent Signs
- 13 Drug Dealers
- 5 Prostitutes

Something I found facing was the drug dealers, see findings in 🧵 below.

The homeless were so drugged up, many couldn’t operate. 🧵

This poor girl was so drugged up that she could barely stand on her own and after walking past her, you could see the cuts on her face. 🧵

I called 911 after I noticed this gentleman who was unresponsive and had what appeared to be bleeding bandages on his side. Once they arrived, the guy was able to wake up be refused services and I found him in the same position, passed out, an hour later. 🧵

We had one guy hyped up on drugs that he was in the street yelling and harassing the car owners as they wait for the light to turn green. 🧵

The drug dealer in yellow had noticed me taking pictures and called over 5 more dealers to move the addicts on the sidewalk. After I waited 20min, I saw the dealers have move the flock to another side of the street. 🧵

The closed businesses ranged from small hole in the wall to massive buildings on Van Ness as well as big buildings near Union Square. 🧵

Tents have returned to the alleyways and as always, there are strange noises that come from them. We have a whole world within a city. 🧵

The drug dealers avoid the areas where prostitution is conducted. I asked why that is and she responded by saying “they do their business and we do ours”. Fair enough. 🧵

Ultimately, it’s made me so sad to see what has become of such a beautiful neighborhood and the emotional toll in this one neighborhood was heavy enough, I had to take a break to recollect myself. It reminded me that if I was still homeless in today, San Francisco would get richer with me on the street than in a home.
