Nolawi Teklehaimanot, a student at the University of Toronto, has made alarming statements on social media, raising serious concerns. We hope that in response to this, the University will take appropriate measures to ensure the safety and well being of its students.

Here’s the clear proof that shows the connection between Nolawi and his alter egos Ras Demi and Negus Kaleb. We gave him an opportunity to apologize and stop his antics

TW/// In his tweets, Nolawi consistently expresses deeply disturbing views, openly glorifying and celebrating the genocide of the Palestinian people. This raises serious concerns about the depth of his hatred and the extent of his support for violence against civilians in Gaza.

He actively promotes and endorses the practice of honor killings as well as the sexual enslavement and trafficking of women, advocating these as acceptable forms of violence against women.

He undermines the experiences and struggles of Jewish people by perpetuating harmful anti-Semitic tropes.

He demeans and disparages other Black communities, contributing to harmful divisions and stereotypes.

Nolawi is known to adhere to Nazi ideology and support fascism, views that pose a serious threat to both university students and the public. Recently, individuals with similar extremist beliefs have incited violence and riots via Telegram, targeting groups they consider inferior.

While enjoying the privileges of a Canadian student visa, a country that protects LGBTQIA+ rights, he continues to endanger LGBTQIA+ individuals in Ethiopia, a persecuted group.

Nolawi’s self identification as "Agazian Negus" signals his support for the extremist Agazian movement, perpetuating hate and division. This alignment threatens interfaith harmony and exacerbates tensions, including the risk of mass violence against Muslims in Eritrea/Ethiopia.

Additionally, he maintains a TikTok account (@/Negus_Kaleb) that reflects the same harmful ideologies present on his Twitter platform, where he advocates for violence and promotes abhorrent practices such as genocide and sexual enslavement.

Is this the image the University of Toronto aims to project? Are LGBTQ students, students of color, Jewish students, and women truly safe on campus when Nolawi openly endorses antisemitism, sexual violence against women, trafficking, and anti-Blackness?
