SitRep - 15/10/24 - Are North Koreans being trained for, or mabey already fighting inside Ukraine?

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. US expressed 'concerns' on possible interference by North Korean troops in Ukraine.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours. We also include footage that confirms destroyed or damaged Russian equipment and/or personnel.

A total of 16 Shaheds were taken out last night. Unfortunately, several missiles got through.

In Toretsk, Ukrainian FPV operators are chasing Russian assault groups hiding in ruins.

A Russian assault in the border village of Zhuralovka in the Belgorod region ended in the loss of 3 BMP's. More on that later in this SitRep.

It became known that the pilot of a Russian Su-25 which was shot down on October 2 near Bakhmut, died.

A Russian assault group trying to reach Selydove was attacked and eliminated with FPV and artillery.

Target practice for the 79th Brigade again. Two more IFVs and 2 tanks were destroyed in another mechanized attack.

A Russian BMP was destroyed in the Zaporizhzia region.

Ukraine hit a Russian training ground with ATACMS.

Lets continue with the general events. A NATO-Ukraine council will be held on October 17.

New NATO boss Rutte said that NATO is not intimidated by Putin's threats.

Despite EU countries trying to get rid of Russian oil and gas dependency, Hungary is trying to maximize gas purchases from Russia.

Trump once again claimed a lot of things.

China and Russia want to elevate their relations to the highest level in history.

Meanwhile, Russia's cooperation with North Korea is getting more serious. Ukrainian sources claim that North Korean soldiers are already being trained to form a batallion that could possibly join the Russian ranks and fight in the Kursk region.

Other sources claim that already 18 North Korean soldiers were engaged in battles in Russia's Bryansk and Kursk regions.

US expressed concerns. Yes, you read it right, concerns. Thoughts and prayers are reportedly also on its way to Kyiv.

The Polish Defense Minister made statements regarding Ukrainian men of conscription age, residing in Poland.

US politicians are reportedly pressuring Zelensky to lower the conscription age to as low as 18 years old. Zelensky refuses.

French aid will not reach the pledged €3 billion this year but close over €2 billion.

Zelensky will present his Victory Plan to the European Council summit.

Belgorod region

Ukrainian forces have moved into the Belgorod region, taking up positions in the forest belts southwest of Zhuravlevka. A Russian column north of the border town got destroyed, as seen earlier in this thread. Ukrainian advance could be deeper...

Kursk direction

Near Korenevo, the situation has now been clarified and updated based on newly located images. Ukrainian troops are no longer present north of the Krepna River. Vetreno-Zhebolovka, Durovka and Zhuravli fall back under Russian control, Ol'govka is disputed.
