i've been working on a proper article, but due to recent events i want to get this news on record as a thread:
popular anonymous race scientist "Crémieux Receuil" is actually a graduate student named Jordan Lasker
🧵
Crémieux is a big deal in tech circles on twitter
Elon Musk and Garry Tan both have subscriptions to him while Balaji Snrivasan and Marc Andreessen have both also interacted with him on here
Crémieux is notable for writing an article called "Elites are genetically different
" for the white supremacist substack Aporia
this was noted in an excellent article by @thebafflermag about the return of race science
thebaffler.com/salvos/live-fr…
allegations that Jordan Lasker is Crémieux have been floating around for a while, but no one has compiled comprehensive evidence of it...until now
(we'll get to the Reddit stuff later)
**Emil Kirkegaard**
Emil Kirkegaard is a race scientist who's been featured in many articles about its resurgence, including yesterday in @guardian
theguardian.com/world/2024/oct…
Kirkegaard has co-authored 8 out of 18 papers on Lasker's Google Scholars page
scholar.google.com/citations?hl=e…
Kirkegaard and Crémieux seem to enjoy a close relationship, interacting on twitter
they also follow each other on Substack, though they don't draw too much attention to each other
substack.com/@cremieux/reads
substack.com/@kirkegaard/re…
for example, Kirkegaard posted a list of blogs he reads, focusing on "HBD" (human biodiversity, a euphemism for race science), including Aporia
both Crémieux and Jordan Lasker are mentioned in comments liked by Kirkegaard
emilkirkegaard.com/p/blogs-im-rea…
on Oct 13, 2022 the Chronicle of Higher Education (@chronicle) published a piece about race science that focused on papers co-authored by Kirkegaard, Lasker, and John Pesta
it makes it clear why Lasker would want to keep his race science anonymous
chronicle.com/article/racial…
then, just 2 days later, Crémieux broke his 2 year hiatus from Medium to make a final post attacking the Chronicle article
however, he only references the authors as "Pesta et al" without mentioning either Kirkegaard or Lasker by name 🤔
cremieux.medium.com/fraud-incompet…
Crémieux's rise coincided with Lasker disappearing from the net
Lasker's Substack hasn't had any activity since the Chronicle article while Crémieux officially launched his own page just a few weeks later on Oct 29

Crémieux appeared using a voice changer on an episode of "The Jolly Heretic" podcast titled "Bad Science vs Based Science"
*The Jolly Heretic*'s Substack tagline is "Fed up with our woke joke universities? Learn based science with The Jolly Heretic"
jollyheretic.com/p/bad-science-…
besides Crémieux, the Heretic has featured Steve Sailer, a far-right writer who coined the term "human biodiversity"
there are also two interviews with Kirkegaard, one of which was on Bitchute before the Heretic moved to Substack

Crémieux also appeared on an episode of *Subversive with Alex Kaschuta*, a podcast about "ideas that may not fit neatly into the Overton window"
🤔
podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/aksub…
Alex Kaschuta describes him as being "let loose onto the world" by Elon Musk after he "lifted the ban on wrongthink" on twitter
(recall that Elon is personally subscribed to Crémieux)
in the podcast, Crémieux discusses the possibility of demographic collapse and talks about how he became a Twitter celebrity - he claims to often DM scientists offering "corrections" or his own information to their tweets
one of these scientists he "corrected" was Dr. Julia M. Roher, who mentioned in a blog post that Crémieux DMed her a paper by none other than Jordan Lasker
the100.ci/2024/01/10/a-c…
I reached out to Dr. Roherm who was kind enough to send me the full DM text: "Someone wrote a preprint on this"
the DM doesn't mention Lasker by name, which is consistent with Crémieux not drawing too much attention to his connection to Lasker
**Richard Hanania**
Jordan Lasker has appeared on The Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology, a Substack run by neo-Nazi Richard Hanania
cspicenter.com/p/about-those-…
Lasker also appeared on CSPI's podcast
youtube.com/watch?v=ptVS4W…
on Twitter, Hanania has interacted with Crémieux's account since started shortly after it was created, indicating that they probably knew each other
Hanania praised one of Crémieux's earlier essays as "discreditinf all of science except one field"
Crémieux and Hanania are also close enough to have a friendly wrestling match! this happened at Manifest, a conference that was recently covered by @guardian for its promotion of eugenicists
theguardian.com/technology/art…
cremieux.xyz/p/meetups-are-…
to make all of this worse, Lasker was invited this year to @Stanford University's "Classical Liberalism Initiative"!!!
I don't know how Lasker's work came to their attention, especially since he's only a graduate student and known to be a race scientist
cli.stanford.edu/seminars
for context: the Classical Liberalism Initiative also recently hosted a talk called "Race and the Origins of Wokism"
their next lecture is "From Hysteria to Gender Dysphoria"
🤔
**u/tr*nnypornO**
there's also been rumors floating around that Crémieux's old Reddit name was "tr*nnypornO"
the account is a mod on r/psychometrics, r/heredity, r/evopolitics/, r/CrimeStudies, and r/decentralization
reddit.com/user/TrannyPor…
allegations that they're the same person date back to 4chan in 2019
(based on some of his older posts, the name doesn't seem to be a joke)

pumpkinperson.com/2020/01/27/est…
there's more connecting evidence, but i'm at the limit for the number of tweets in a thread
stay tuned for part 2!
