When I was in broadcast journalism school, our instructors warned us "you will be guaranteed to experience layoffs in your career." I'm on my 2nd.

I'm fine. It was an enormous privilege to work on Mac Address. I appreciate the opportunity and all who supported the channel. 🧵

Before I started this job I would watch tech videos and wonder, "could I bring a different flavour to the mix?" Then I saw the job posting. And then I got hired! 😬

I suffered from imposter syndrome with every script I wrote. Yet somehow, I was able to try these weird ideas:

Like the one where I left an AirTag'd backpack on a train for a day. I was really worried that the outcome would just be "bag lost." But mercifully there was more story to tell.

Then there was the summer when @_andyzhang_ insisted we shoot a desktop Mac video outside, on the beach. So we did. I got a sunburn that day.

Or there was the time I dropped @sarahbbutt's phone to manipulate her into trying out Apple's Self Serving Repair Program.

I was really nervous about this one, but the ending is a real surprise (don't spoil it by reading the comments).

These are some of my highlights, tell me yours. I'm really proud of every video we made. And I couldn't have done it without all the different members of the team I had the pleasure to work with.

As for what's next for me, it's a very good question. Looks like I have to find out
