Baloch and Pashtoon student organizations, in their latest press conference, expresses concerns over college and hostel closure despite a pity issue which was eventually solved. They termed the admin decision to close the two till March 2025 upsetting.
Against the closure of college and hostel, students have organized a protesting sit-in inside the varsity which completes 10 days today. They have 3 demands: 1. Hostel and college to be opened immediately.
2. Action against college admin and Quetta police on shelling tear gas, torturing and arresting the students illegally. 3. Safe return of students’ materials including mobile, laptops and other things.
The administration is excusing themselves saying that “high authority” are not letting us. The student organizations say all the demands are simple and clear which can be dealt with the admin. Use of “high authority” is vague and not understandable.
They are also threatening the students through phone calls and other means. At the end of their presser, they urged all the authorities to solve the issue immediately, or else, they would fuel the protest.
They also called for a seminar on Sunday (Dec 8) on protesting sit-in on present issues. While urging students, masses and media to join the Sunday seminar, they also asked students outside Balochistan to organize protests and rallies in their favor.
