We have a problem with some damaged track at Parks Bridge Junction (circled in red), which means we need to make some temporary changes to the train service on the Hayes line.
Because this is a specialist item that isn’t ‘off the shelf’, we’ve ordered a new part, but we won’t be able to replace the crossing for a few weeks while it’s being produced and delivered to where it needs to go so that our engineers can replace the damaged rail.
While the crack looks small, the rail (which is part of a crossing) needs to be replaced so that it doesn’t break completely, and trains can resume running across it at the normal speed.
This means that for @Se_Railway customers on the Hayes line, there will be some temporary changes to train services from Monday 6thJanuary.
@Se_Railway Some trains will need to run fast through a couple of stations during the morning peak and off-peak, while in the evening peak, trains in the Hayes direction will stop at all stations.
@Se_Railway We’re sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause to customers on the Hayes line and we’re working hard to fix the problem at this junction as soon as we can.
