THREAD: Imagine if the United States officially welcomed Australia as a state, liberating it from the Crown. Australia, originally established as a prisoner island for the British Empire, has long since proven its resilience and independence.

Becoming part of the U.S. would symbolize the ultimate break from its colonial past and usher in a new era of freedom and opportunity.

Consider it: Australia’s rugged individualism and pioneering spirit align perfectly with American values.

Such a union could foster unparalleled economic growth, innovation, and global influence, creating an unstoppable alliance rooted in liberty.

Australians would likely embrace this with open arms, knowing the benefits of joining a system that champions democracy and self-determination. If you're going to dream big, why not dream transformative? A united future like this could redefine the course of history.

IN 1933, they tried -The Western Australian Secession Referendum: On April 8, 1933, Western Australia held a referendum asking citizens if the state should withdraw from the Australian Federation. Approximately two-thirds voted in favor of secession.

However, the British Parliament declined to act on the request, and Western Australia remained part of the Commonwealth. Why would the King and Queen release their SUBJECTS?

This leads me to the first blatant election theft that changed history—in 1999. The Republic Referendum was stolen.

On November 6, 1999, a nationwide referendum asked Australians whether to amend the Constitution to establish a republic, replacing the Queen and Governor-General with a President appointed by a two-thirds majority of Parliament. The proposal was rejected, with 54.87% voting against it and 45.13% favoring it.
