MEME ๐๐ป REVIEW ๐๐ป
Howโs it going bros, today I'll be talking about the recent JD Vance memes. Are they kino? What is their message?
In our war of ideas memes are the bullets โ let's see how these weapons work.
A ๐งถ
First remember: since JD was announced as vp there has been a massive coordinated effort by the PalanThiel network to endear him to the masses.
"Memes". Awkward videos. More sloppy mems.
Every few months we get fed some alleged JD MEME MAGIC MOMENT that sticks around.
There was that odd look from the debate which people projected their dreams onto & plenty more.
Regime memes like JD's are interesting because even without prior knowledge of astroturfing, you can just tell they are off due to their quality.
Our latest example: The shapeshift.
Some of these make him (even more) ugly & fat. Others put his face on top of some other meme.
Oh look it's Vance HAHA JOKE LOL? <-(shhh he doesn't get it)
I've isolated and attached a specimen of these memes.
๐จPrimitive music warning! Muting is advised๐จ
These remind me of a certain fan "joke" & wifejak. Where is the punchline? All I see is public signaling.
Some may say: but Flanon! It's just a classic example of a meme in the category of absurdity. These don't have a โpunchlineโ, they're funny because they're incomprehensible!
Eh. In a vacuum those all do sure. "Look it's JD & he looks weird." I don't see the appeal but get the thought process (I'm an enjoyer of LOOK FUMO BOUNCE after all).
HOWEVER. Context always matters in our atmospheric world. It turns out that JD is the VICE PRESIDENT OF AMERICA.
Everything is political (even Fumo bounce), especially something containing a politician!
"Political" works but another word describes this concept better: vibe.
Everything is of a vibe and begets a vibe. A perpetuating cycle of a certain aura.
Remember: it's a war of ideas!
I think this is a fact. Death of the author can exist, but I will never get over this question: is the author really dead if 98% of people embody and embrace his vision?
On an individual scale the author can die. Unfortunately, we live in a soyciety.
So the Vance memes have a meaning behind them. Memes of politicians get you to think in a certain way & about said person in a certain way.
The question is this: are those ways good or even remotely funny?
To answer we can compare JD memes to good /pol/ memes. First: Putler!
>allow me to explain, it will only take 30 seconds of your time. *495 days pass*
>mafia boss Lv.100 Le Poutine walks through a palace
>in Ru, bird salute yuo!
Why funny ahaha? What do these all have in common? They depict chadlike activity.
They shatter modern expectations and ideas of a leader: be a nice little soyface liberal. Not: BE EMPEROR OF A KINGDOM OF GOD.
Memes like Putin's make said leader look more like the latter (whether they actually are is a different story).
Trump is the best example of this.
>we're building the wall, you're paying for it, deal with it
Based. What you want in a leader. Highly memeable too!
Trump memes embody the above line. This is what 2016 meme magic was โ connecting with dissidents thru memes that sold a vision radical in this inverted world.
Yuge. Bigly. Sad!
Memes of Trump literally spawned a style of speech on the internet that was more uncompromising and funny.
Again in/through them he is inherently related to and seen as embodying emperor activity.
Take "wrong."
A classic still today, many are saying this!
I don't like Trump but he & his memes can be kino. If only he would DO kino :/
His team & the regime capitalized on the meme magic and the fact he was seen this way. History ensued.
Back to JD.
Compare his memes to Trump & Putin. Even to Xi & our favorite nuke man. Kino or no?
lel no
Nothing chadlike about the meme itself. It's just him in a weird way.
Trump in a weird way works because he's Trump, HE is funny & an icon.
If you think fat JD from PalanThiel who can literally play cowboy and INDIANS with his children is the guy then please watch this:
So yet again, the memes are a campaign to further endear JD to the public. He is Trump's heir after all.
They shapeshift JD & make the pics "funny". Have some big accounts post them and say funny haha.
It's as easy as that โ social conditioning will take care of the rest.
The particularly insidious ones are those that put JD's face over popular memes which associate him in your mind with positive feels from the original content.
It's not just innocent photoshop (at least by the informed), it's a real glowie strategy: exploit the halo effect.
If you don't know what the halo effect is don't look it up.
All subversive twisted definitions like suspect good looking ppl.
Here, Pache can define: it's when X (you love) is presented with Y (you hate/not care for). Your love of X bleeds into Y making you see it in a + light.
It's useful to be able to recognize this โ to see patterns in content you come across & read the mind of whomever was on the other side of the keyboard.
You can train this ability by asking yourself questions about the internal & external connections present in content you see.
Some examples:
Why are most tech logos blue? Blue is seen as a trusted color.
Why when packaging a food as healthy green *must* be included? It looks environmental.
We can even invert the halo effect like so:
Why do brands make you email to delete account? So it's annoying ๐ก
Why do big accounts spam JD? Why is JD's face put in every single form? Why is it made ugly, "kawaii" (at least the regime's version of it), and merged with popular images?
To make him and his ideas more liked, relatable, and thought of. That's all it is.
Once you remove the unfunny casing of the meme all that is left is a hollow chamber. Any idea inside is not worth anything to us.
Remember how memes are bullets?
Well, JD memes are a case of the regime manufacturing blanks and selling them as silver bullets to dissidents.
Actually it's worse than blanks โ it's more like the bullets just explode when you pull the trigger. Vance & his ideas are subversive to the Anime Revolution after all.
It's just like how famous gifs disproportionately have blacks for a reason.
JD meme rating: No/Kino
Brofist.
