So Indian scammers have a massive network of state pride themed Facebook groups they appear to have taken over (I don't necessarily think they created the groups). These groups have HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of members each, that are mostly GenXers and Boomers.
The scammers are mods/admins and recycle real content daily that fits the theme to farm engagement for Meta creator fund, but also scam their followers regularly with these fake quilts. They use AI to generate state themed art for the quilts and recycle similar stories about autistic sons making them to make the old people in the group feel bad and buy them. Sometimes they use very realistic fake looking Karen/white women accounts to post these to add to the authenticity, but occasionally they have gotten lazy and use Indian/Pakistani real accounts to post these scams.
I think I am just finding the tip of the iceberg here, but it appears they are doing it for just about every state, to an audience of millions of Americans.
If you use the search term "my son is autistic he is a graphic designer"
You will find HUNDREDS of these accounts and groups.
So many unwitting people are being tricked by this scam ring.
Just look at the absolute scale. Hundreds of posts using this exact phrase. There’s tons of other phrase variations I haven’t even tried searching for that I’ve seen using this scam. This is highly sophisticated.
This is not a real white lady lol
Look at the admin list, some are disguised well, others are very obvious and sloppy
How do we know these are coming from India or Pakistan?
Well this sloppy admin, "MD" was posting this crap at 1am in America, who would be quilt posting at that time? Well in India that would be about lunch time. Also, MD in India is a common shortened nickname for Muhammed.
You're busted, my guy.
