A Redditor’s class is 70% Indian. They can’t/don’t speak English and the staff aren’t much better.
The situation is so bad that questions are sometimes asked and answered in Hindi.
“I honestly regret having paid so much to move to Dublin and do this course”
130+ comments so far because so many people now realise that the universities have become a literal scam. (examples below)

Firstly, it's not just Indians who can't speak English and cheat the tests. The Chinese do it too.
In fact, lots of non-European students cheat the tests. It's so common that companies now provide essay writing as a service for candidates.
The universities are aware of these problems by now, but they don't care. They just want to keep the money coming in. (It would be 'racist' to notice their poor English too.)
The universities know that these students can't speak English, they know that they are lowering academic standards to get them in, they know the students are cheating in their applications and in their university assignments... but the university administrators don't care about any of it.
The *only* thing that matters to them, is money.
The market is so saturated with Indians, that the Indians are starting to turn us down.
"I actually wrote the truth as the reason for declining the offer. No fucks given. "The cohort seems to be skewed towards one nationality and this is not the experience I want." I HATE systems like this with a passion because they genuinely harm the natives & also the good few people wanting to immigrate & assimilate."
Fair play! He was clearly one of the good ones.
A lot of people are being hurt by this corrupt system, and it's the people who the system was supposed to be serving - Irish students - that are getting hurt the most.
They want to learn and upskill, and ultimately contribute more to Irish society.
But instead, they're spending loads of money to learn very little because globalisation lowered standards everywhere and turned the universities into a scam.
Bonus: foreigners complaining that having to write essays in English is racism
